It’s hard to believe that your new journey began 10 years ago.

I’m so glad that Lanna and Sydney and Riley and I were with you - so glad that Riley and I prayed with you one more time.

It was a long and painful farewell. I hope you understand how much we cared. I hope you know how meaningful your life was to me. I’m sorry that it ended with occasional visits.

You struggled so much. You slowly disappeared. We loved you - and we hurt for you. It my was my decision to give you the medication, hoping it would heal you, knowing it could take you, as it did.

Can I be forgiven?

Thank you Dad for always trying to be the man you believed. Thank you for showing me how to dream.
