Sharing this Kathak performance I did for Diwali last year. Navratri begins today and I am filled with all sorts of complex feelings as I look at the world around me. I hope you enjoy and reflect on the divine feminine form as I portray her here.

More like a Play Launch!!! I’ve been interested in this play since I first read about the concept this summer and I really hope I get to catch the show in Toronto!!!
You might know Ins as the creator of Kim’s Convenience, he’s a fantastic storyteller and I knew I was going to love this one too! Hearing about his experiences growing up, there was so much I connected with. This play is so musical, poetic, inspiring and funny. I’m so glad I made it to the launch @bookbarto by @vandanas.world

What even is Nuit Blanche?
Nuit Blanche is Toronto’s annual all-night celebration of contemporary art, produced by the City of Toronto in collaboration with Toronto’s arts community. Its locations, theme, curation and artists change from year to year, with a selection of projects extended after the event.

Nuit Blanche translates literally from French as “white night,” idiomatically meaning a sleepless night or an all-nighter. taken in Toronto Canada by @vandanas.world

I find myself going back to the AGO over and over again

Maybe it’s the installations I’ve seen before that I get to see anew

Maybe it’s Monet getting to see me

Maybe it’s the pull of new South Asian art

Like this exhibition from Ranbir Sidhu

That stopped me and made me wonder if I could actually find beauty in a future that scares me so much

Or maybe it was seeing art reflect life

Tbh it could just be the good photo ops

Or seeing an original Monet? So simple, so peaceful

Maybe I needed the inspo

I don’t usually do food reviews but this is genuinely some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had @thecottagecheeseto

I was sooo impressed by the service, quality of food and amazing vibes of this place. The owner’s story in the menu was also extremely heart warming and made the experience so much more meaningful

They gave us an Amuse Bouche to start which was a terrific way to prepare me for the flavor bombs to come.

I wish I could remember the name of it because it was the perfect mix of sweet and savory!

We got the Avocado Dahi Kebab which was my highlight of the day! I didn’t order this and didn’t have high hopes but on first bite I was obsessed and needed 10 more immediately!!!

My jaw dropped when I saw this on the menu - Basil Garlic Paneer Tikka 🤤🤤 (yes it’s as good as it sounds)

Green Garlic Naan - this is a must try in their restaurant for a reason!!!

The views and ambience were impeccable, nestled right in Kensington

Rose Petal Paneer 😍🌹 - I had this with the Naan! Our server told me it was on the sweet side but I was feeling adventurous. Like rose petal!? Can it get more bougie than that?? Pairing it with the Green Garlic Naan was THE BOMB because the sweetness just sang with the garlic flavor 💖

We also got Cheese Jalapeño Naan - I didn’t have because I was enjoying my other dishes too much but it was delightful!

One thing that impressed me was how they timed when the food came out so it was right after each course and each dish was the PERFECT temperature. Warm, cozy bites but not too hot so the flavor was hitting all the right notes. And tbh I didn’t wait long enough for it to get cold. It was THAT good.

Their presentation was beautiful but the portion sizes are on the smaller size because each bite packs a punch. I will say this is on the higher end 💸 for me but definitely somewhere that’s worth the money for a treat or special occasion

Papads with Mango sauce - what a unique but life changing combo??

This restaurant stole my heart. I won’t be surprised if it gets a Michelin ⭐️ soon by @vandanas.world
