Celebrate Homecoming for all and Reunion classes of 1966, 1971, 1976, 1981, 1986, 1991, 1996, 2001, 2006, 2011, 2016, and 2021!

Kickoff the weekend on Thursday at the downtown party; take special tours of campus, learn from professors in classrooms, take part in community conversations, and celebrate with your class on Friday; tailgate on Saturday for the homecoming football game vs. Arkansas; and say farewell over brunch on Sunday.

VAHLA Spotlight: Avery Dickins de Girón, PhD’08

We’re proud to see Avery Dickins de Girón, PhD’08, executive director of Vanderbilt’s Center for Latin American, Caribbean and Latinx Studies (CLACX), featured in the June 2026 edition of Vanderbilt University Magazine.

In “When Engagement Takes Root,” Vanderbilt highlights Avery’s leadership, her commitment to building community, and the many ways she is creating connections among students, alumni and the broader Vanderbilt community.

The feature also celebrates the growing partnership between CLACX and the Vanderbilt Association of Hispanic and Latinx Alumni (VAHLA)—a collaboration that brings together alumni, students and community members through cultural, educational and engagement opportunities. 🌿
