Coco is All State XC 2026! With over 1,300 hundred All Class Athletes gathering at the State XC meet, my freshman baby placed 4th for Class C Girls!!
You executed to win, it's your dream, and I so admire your bravery! I know it didn't turn out exactly as you planned, but you were in the ring - more than most can say. We made some errors in your training, you suffered an overuse IT injury and sickness much of the season, but you learned so much and made wonderful memories along the trail.
This is just one chapter in your beautiful story and God has a perfect plan for you. Hold onto those dreams and never ever give up!
We are so proud of you, Coco. We love you so much! ❤️

Le Griz 2026 in the books. My 50 mile relay team "Run Like the Winded" rocked it for a top 10 finish! 😆 With Bon Jovi running in much of the background, our Crew Chief KD and Co-Captain @coco_bucklin5 supporting our efforts, Tyler running his 15th solo 50 mile Le Griz, and this Ole girl getting back in the saddle, every mile was a memory! Thank you team @jana_mantovani @skialyssa and our closer @kilesdonna love you ladies!! ❤️ by @vanessaybucklin

"Say the word and I'll be there for you. Baby, I will be your parachute."
Thank you Seth and Jennie for hosting a bucket list adventure for our No Class reunion exploring the Marias Breaks for grizzlies and bear caves and sleeping under the moon in a real Teepee!
Liz and Whit, we have always been around for each other, any time we were going down. Thank you for being my parachute - love you long long time.🤍 by @vanessaybucklin

Harvest 2026: all the fields and feels came out today. We have struggled with timing, hail, rain, breakdowns, and everything in between. But the wheels keep on turning, and on the death Anniversary of my Dad, he sent his best friend, Mark, and the Orcutts to bring us to the finish line. I took the afternoon to ride with Mark and it afforded me another moment with my Dad.🥹
Words cannot express the gratitude for life long friendships, neighbors, our farming community.
Thanks for continuing to watch out for me, Dad. 🖤 I feel you! 🌾 by @vanessaybucklin

What do you do when life gives you lemons....or should I say cucumbers? Make pickles! 😋
My sister @cpwerk and her family came up to help with harvest and it has rained, and rained, and rained.
Next best option? Head to Glacier National Park - get out in nature! Can 28 jars of pickles with our God Mother, Paula ❤️, and celebrate our Mom's 79th birthday!! 🎂
Here is to making the most of the moment! Thanks Sister, love you!!🤍 by @vanessaybucklin

It's gonna be a good day! Claire is a Jr at Carroll College in PreMed and running indoor & outdoor track. Nick is a Jr at North Toole County High School and currently playing football as the QTQB 😗. My baby, Coco, is a Freshman at North Toole County High School currently running XC! ❤️ by @vanessaybucklin

"There ain't a lot of boys named Gary these days." - Stephen Wilson Jr.

We saw him play this song at Under the Big Sky this summer, and thought, Callie and I, of all people, should have a Gary hat.

So here is the rest of the story (thanks Paul Harvey) - I reluctantly went into the Conrad ER (they were great) for a pretty severe stomach ache...after blood tests and a CT, I had a lonely ambulance ride to Great Falls. After my initial welcome of pokes and jabs, I was left to "suffer" (dramatized) for 8 hours in a scary ER bin until emergency surgery for an appendicitis (I guess they just happen.) Surgery was at 8 am and I was out by 10:30 am. It was successful.

My point is, it always seems like it is at my lowest, loneliest points that I think of my dad, Gary. I catch myself reaching to find him, call him, hear him. That night Gary was all over. I had so many flashbacks with him in that ER, things he would say, expressions he would give, the last resilient twinkle in his eye, and I just wanted my Dad.

I hope the saying, "the oldest daughter is a female version of her father" is true because he was the toughest cowboy I ever knew. He was my Hero.

I didn't wait for his heavenly birthday or death day to share this because I miss him every day.....

"And let us run with endurance the Race that is set before us." - Hebrews 12:1
Colette had a huge weekend starting with her faith as her foundation and receiving Confirmation of her Baptism. ✝️
She graduated from the 8th Grade! 🎓
This year she participated in High School FCCLA and competed in Fashion Construction where she created her dress for graduation. She scored 1st at State FCCLA and qualified for Nationals. She has quite the creative flair for fashion! 💃
Finally, she participated in the High School District Track and ran away with two gold 🏅 in the 2 mile and 1 mile, 3rd in long jump, and performed in the best show of the day by anchoring the 4x400 relay. She was 50 meters behind and caught the Senior for 2nd place!
Way to build from a solid foundation of faith and incorporate hard work and discipline, Coco!!
The world is yours! Keep Shining! We love you! ❤️ by @vanessaybucklin

I had the privilege of taking Nick to a trip I earned through work to Las Vegas. We followed the yellow brick road to Oz at the Sphere, which was spectacular! Guest speakers included inspiring and positive, John Dorenbos, and the most decorated Olympian of all time, Michael Phelps. I was so excited for him to hear their message and their willingness to do the hard things that others fail to do. Every single day they showed up, to be better than before.
We also ate lots of incredible food, had some pool time, and even an Escape Room.
I am so proud of you, Nick, and hope this experience inspires you on your journey! 💛 by @vanessaybucklin
