Officially moving to Los Angeles in the next ~week and will be living with my girl in the City of Angels.
We signed our lease 3 weeks ago!
If you know me you probably know how frequently I’ve been finding myself on the west coast these past couple of years, and how I’ve fallen for the city (and all of California).
I felt like I needed a change and am lucky enough to be able to make that change and follow a dream 💭 especially with opportunities not available to me in Florida.

bought 15 lbs of books in Cali and had to mail them back to myself and came home to…more books?!? and pre-orders I totally forgot about.

Great affordable finds from B L M F in Pike Place Market 🤗 All the books were $10 or less!
I LOVE Jeanette Winterson. @caitlynn.murphy is making me read On Human Bondage, and I don’t have the full collection of Knausgaards - My Struggle, yet! If you’re in Seattle there are a plethora of used bookstores and i didn’t even make it to many!

It might be the end of summer, but it’s never too late for NYRB SUMMER. Although honestly i just live a NYRB life and if you knew me you’d already know that 😋
Finally got my NYRB delivery that i didn’t even buy during the sale becuase i was moving/driving across the country and i’m so severely ADHD (David @food_city_slicker even reminded me multiple times to do it, by repeating back to me things i needed to do on my big computer when he took over driving. he’d say “BUY BOOKS, BOOK HOTEL.” i miss him.)

I haven’t been locked into my reading game lately due to : life situations, sads, hangovers, injuries, and dumb excuses (and constantly hiking).
I’m currently still in the (happy) midst of thoroughly enjoying East of Eden. I am also simultaneously reading a couple novellas, just started Melancholy I-II and Show Elephants of Milan (to try to finish before pub day😅).
Yeah I might be reading 15 books at once. It works for me !
