Acordei de madrugada para ir para a fronteira com o Quênia me encontrar com o povo Dasenech/Kuraz, onde celular e luz elétrica não existem, a água é do rio e os sorrisos são os mais sinceros e lindos. O choque cultural faz a gente, no mínimo, refletir sobre as milhares de maneiras de se viver a vida… será que a gente não reclama demais? 💜 / I woke up in the middle of the night to head to the Kenyan border and meet the Dasenech/Kuraz people—a place where there is no electricity or cell phone service, water comes from the river, and the smiles are the most sincere and beautiful. The culture shock makes us reflect—at the very least—on the thousands of ways there are to live life... do we perhaps complain too much? ☀️ / እኩለ ሌሊት ላይ ከኬንያ ጋር ድንበር ለመሄድ ከዳሴኔች/ኩራዝ ሰዎች ጋር ለመገናኘት እኩለ ሌሊት ላይ ነቃሁ፤ የሞባይል ስልኮችና የኤሌክትሪክ ኃይል የሌላቸው፣ ውሃው ከወንዙ የሚመነጨው እና ፈገግታው እጅግ ቅን እና ውብ የሆኑባቸው። የባህል ድንጋጤ ቢያንስ በሺዎች የሚቆጠሩ የህይወት መንገዶችን እንድታስቡ ያደርጋችኋል… ብዙ አናማርርም? 🇪🇹

Visitar o povo Hamer, na África, nos faz entender que nossa forma de viver é apenas mais uma em meio à infinidade. No cabelo nestas mulheres, uma pasta de argila e manteiga, a gosha, define o estilo deste povo somado aos lindos acessórios ornamentando o corpo todo. É um povo poligâmico e o número e forma dos colares nas mulheres definem o status da esposa na relação: mais colares, primeira esposa. É aqui também que o menino para se tornar adulto tem que pular 5 bois, senão não casa. Enquanto isso, mulheres são chicotadas em uma dança festiva. Para eles, cicatrizes são sinais de bravura, lealdade e devoção. Muito de que falei aqui não parece ferir os códigos de direitos humanos? Pois é… mas é a cultura milenar dos Hamer. E a nós, turistas, cabe apenas respeitar (mas eu distribuí vários pirulitos, olha um deles lá, complementando o estilo de uma das minhas amigas na foto) 😂 / Visiting the Hamer people in Africa makes us understand that our way of life is just one among countless others. In the hair of these women, a paste of clay and butter, called gosha, defines the style of this people, along with the beautiful accessories adorning their entire bodies. They are a polygamous people, and the number and shape of the necklaces worn by the women define the wife's status in the relationship: more necklaces, first wife. It is also here that a boy, to become an adult, has to jump over five oxen, otherwise he won't marry. Meanwhile, women are whipped in a festive dance. For them, scars are signs of bravery, loyalty, and devotion. Much of what I've said here doesn't seem to violate human rights codes? Well… but it's the ancient culture of the Hamer. And it is up to us, tourists, to simply respect it (but I gave a lollipop, look, complementing the style of one of my friends in the photo) 😍 / የሐመር ሰዎችን በአፍሪካ መጎብኘት አኗኗራችን ከሌሎች ስፍር ቁጥር የሌላቸው ሰዎች መካከል አንዱ መሆኑን እንድንረዳ ያደርገናል። 🇪🇹
