what i wore to the renaissance festival ⚔️🩶

my top is the braided cable shrug by @barleyandflax. this was my first cable project, and it was wayyy easier than i expected. i gave myself about a week to work it up, and surprisingly it wasn’t a hard deadline to meet. this is a great beginner project and super well written!

i also made my chainmail headpiece! this one however was a major pain in the butt, but it turned out beautifully and i felt super beautiful in it! 🥰✨

p.s. i luv turkey legs

i had such a great time at @autumnfiberfestival! this was my first time attending a fiber festival, and it was AWESOME! i did my best to only buy yarn i intend to knit with in the new year, but i had to make a few little impulse purchases too :) i got lots of great deals and so much yarn i’m super excited to work with!

try-on of my modified plain yoke tee 🤍

casted on another plain yoke tee rather impulsively… but this time it was a success! i needed a mindless road trip knit and this tee was the perfect fit. i used some thrifted stash yarn and modified mine to have long sleeves. this is going to be a go-to piece all fall and winter!

i finished my first quilt! it’s far from perfect, but i’m still in love with with the finished result! fabric is from @rubystarsociety. i used a thrifted table cover for the backing :)

sharing these pretty pictures i took before i frog my plain yoke tee 🥲 i think i’ve finally come to terms with the fact that cotton yarn just isn’t for me. there’s zero forgiveness, and i need a lot of grace lol. the underarms of my tee are a hot mess. for the life of me, i cannot find an extra stitch to pick up on the sides that doesn’t still leave a giant hole. i still like the look and construction of this pattern, and will definitely cast it on again in the future… probably with wool.

quick pic before i cast on the ivy tee by @petiteknit 📷⭐️ i plan to modify mine to have long sleeves!

yarn is ella rose marmel in the color fossil coral. these colors and the cotton blend of the yarn will make the perfect lightweight top for fall!!

i’ve been on a serious petiteknit kick lately! i just casted off my #mondaysweater and i’m obsessed!! i used some yarn i picked up on my final trip to joann fabrics (rip 😭) sooo it’s super special. i can’t wait to wear it this fall!!
