Question: What do you do when called in at the last minute to moderate a panel?

Answer: First, you pray, and then immediately get to work! As the famous phrase goes, you stay ready so you never have to get ready!

Being asked to moderate this panel literally ONE hour before it was set to begin was a little nerve-racking, but then I remembered I’ve prepared for as long as I can remember for this exact moment.

Today, I had the opportunity to emcee an event where we celebrated the youth in the community for their achievements. Of course we had to give them more than a congratulations and a certificate. The high school students were surprised with a guest appearance by Kodak Black (@kodakblack )

Many of you know me as an event host and public speaker, but what you might not know is that I’m also a talk show host! 🎬✨

‼️[INSERT INTERVIEW HORROR STORY] ‼️

When I recorded my very first interview as a talk show host, the sound was completely missing. 😅 Can you imagine? Hours of preparation, meaningful conversations, and nothing but silence.

I had to re-record the entire interview from scratch, and honestly, I was crushed. But here’s the thing — that moment taught me so much about resilience and the power of perseverance.

It’s easy to let setbacks stop you, but the real growth comes from how you bounce back. That second take turned out even better, and I learned so much from that experience.

So, if you’re facing challenges, remember: failure isn’t the end. It’s the start of something better. And trust me, your message will always get through if you keep pushing.

🎤 Your biggest fear when public speaking? Forgetting everything.

I get it — Trust me. Standing in front of a crowd, eyes on you, and suddenly your mind goes blank. 😅

Here’s what works for me:
1️⃣ Bullet points over scripts – Memorizing every word is way too much pressure.
2️⃣ Repetition is key – The more you say it, the easier it is to remember. Practice out loud!
3️⃣ Anchor your content – Link your points to stories or visuals. It helps your memory stick.

The goal isn't perfection. It's preparation. Trust yourself 🙌🏽
