Here come your men to a stage near you! . We're doing a big ol 30 minute set with two songs you've never heard down at centennial square for a free show on July 8tb at 6 pm with @eventidemusicseries and @pin.dee.in and a bunch of Indigenous excellence bringing different genres to the stage. . This National Indigenous Peoples Day, we are highlighting our frontman, Kinata. They are a tastawiyiniw (Two-Spirit) Bungi otipemisiwak (Scottish Anglo Metis) person. Metis peoples are deeply musical and growing up, family gatherings included singing, dancing, guitar, and piano. Kinata was in a big drum group and is being mentored in song catching by their mentors. Our song Red Road talks speaks to their journey toward gaining confidence in their identity and culture and finding community and kin. While not all of our music is specifically about Indigenous themes, Kinata's musicality is rooted in their Metis family and many of their lyrics contain Indigenous metaphors and imagery. . As an Indigenous fronted band, we have been invited to perform Wednesday July 8th with @eventidemusicseries free concert series. We will be sharing the stage with an outstanding lineup of Indigenous musicians including event producer @pin.dee.in - Mamaskatc! (amazing!) it's going to be an excellent show 🎉 . PINDN PRODUCTIONS PRESENTS: The Eventide Music Series 2026 Opening Night 🌞 With Hasatuuk! / @hasaatuk From the Ahousaht Nation of the West Coast, Hasaatuk is a talented singer, songwriter and guitarist celebrating her recent self titled debut album here on lək̓ʷəŋən Territory! The name Hasaatuk in the Nuu-Cha-Nulth language translates to ‘Loud and vibrant voice’ and this artist bares a significant, impactful voice which we are excited to hear echo throughout Spirit Square and the local downtown streets. Ay Lelum! / @aylelum Ay Lelum are a Snuneymuxw electronic/vocalist duo of Sisters who are writing songs in their traditional language of Hul’q’umin’um, blending Coast Salish culture with electronic beats! In the group are two members, Aunalee Boyd-Good and Sophia Good. Both are Indigenous language revitalization advocates, storytellers, gifted fashion designers and artists. PINDN & the Nation of Creation Kwakwa̲ka̲’wakw & Nuu-Cha-Nulth Hip-Hop with live band the Nation of Creation, bringing their tricksterish, decolonial, Punk-Hop fusion to the square for the second year in a row! Helluva show last night! We played the 4 songs on our EP: Addict, Dungeon Party, This Distance, and Born to Die Young plus one oldie and one newey that we are storing in our cheeks for a future full length album. If you didn't make it out you'll have to be patient lil guys and wait for the EP drop this summer. We played music, sang about segx in front of our parents, and burned down the house. Free fudge and fun was had by all. . Thank you to @funemploymentpress for organizing the show and @influenceboardshop for the very punk location (and for helping Kevin get his yahoos out by using the indoor park) . Another show! We're throwing another show! It's going to be a tremendous evening with a loaded lineup of live music that jumps across genres, a moon portrait booth, and some free fudge. Recording of our EP Void or Vice is done and we have our final attended edition session late this month so we felt it was time to get to writing again! Kinata has been feeling many emotions (typical) and writing lots of lyrics and melodies. So much in fact they have hit the word limit on three Android note pads. This was their song idea menu with 14 near-complete sets that they brought to practice yesterday. Don't worry, Kinata's psychiatrist will also be receiving a copy. We decided to work on "{censored} hangover" which will (probably?) be called Pretty. Not to be confused with the other idea "Tell Me I'm Pretty."
