Van Man Palazzo Pant: Designed for fit and flare ⭐️ #fashiondesigner #fashiongram

Custom Van Man Palazzo Pant for a very, very happy customer ☺️

It’s sooo cute on her! I designed these pants for her, same style but for her body type.

Her fiancé is wearing Van Man Classic Button-Up.

Just a gentle reminder for me ❤️

Pattern draft for sample ✏️ by @vanmanofficial

A study in pleats: I stated off by drafting a basic men’s pant pattern and slashing the front and back of the pattern to create volume. The pants are a statement and will pair perfectly with a Van Man knit cropped sweater or a half button up.

A study of structure: I designed this button up by using a draping technique using muslin. I wanted this top to form a shape that is voluminous and fun! This is a short sleeve top with a high collar. The shirt is also half-button up.

A study of movement: designing on my knitting machine is my favorite thing to do. I love to try know techniques such as changing the tensions and knitting with different yarn weights.

When I was knitting this top I wanted to create something relaxed and effortless. This knit tank is a light and loose fit with more of a dropped shoulder style. I paired it with a raffia hem to complement the effortless vibe.

Introducing the Van Man Knit Raffia tank 😊✨

A study of proportion: I designed a reimagined button-up built from a familiar shirt anatomy that includes an oversized pointed collar, relaxed shoulders, elongated sleeves with unconventional cuffs, and a classic button placket with a uneven, curved hem.

Basically taking a traditional shirt and deconstructing the proportions.

Open Studio Market was a success! ✨

I was so excited to present my Summer/Fall collection at The Capitoline Center, in Ellicott City, Maryland. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, shared conversations, and supported my work. A BIG thank you to Howard County Arts Council for granting me residency to create in this space. I’m grateful for the opportunity to connect with such a wonderful creative community and can’t wait to share what’s next.
