🪷Embracing Change, Learning Culture, and Finding Gratitude🪷

Adapting to a new environment is often seen as a challenge, but with an open mind and heart (meaning of 555 😉), it transforms into a journey of discovery— of others and of yourself.

Living here has been nothing short of enlightening. Each culture, tradition, and story I’ve encountered has taught me something invaluable. The grace of flowing abayas, the elegance of the Arabic language — so melodic and expressive — are just a few examples of the beauty I’ve come to admire deeply.

I’m humbled by the warmth of those who’ve welcomed me and inspired by the diversity that surrounds us. These moments have gifted me not only new perspectives but also friendships and memories I’ll cherish forever.

For this, I am profoundly grateful.

Let’s continue to learn, embrace (#555), and celebrate the richness of every culture. It’s through these connections that we truly grow and make the world feel a little closer.

غالبًا ما يُنظر إلى التكيف مع بيئة جديدة على أنه تحدٍ، لكن مع عقل وقلب مفتوحين، يتحول إلى رحلة استكشاف – للآخرين ولذاتك أيضًا.

Did you know that construction of the Cathedral of Our Lady in Antwerp (Belgium) began in 1352? 🤍

I often say that I love connecting cultures, and most of what I share is inspired by what I experience, discover and learn in the Middle East.

But connecting cultures also means sharing where I come from.

And with great pride, I want to show you one of the most beautiful landmarks of Antwerp: the Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekathedraal (the Cathedral of Our Lady)

Construction began 674 years ago… just imagine that. And all these centuries later, every single time I walk past it, look up at its tower or see it appearing between the streets of Antwerp, it still takes my breath away.

In Dubai, the Museum of the Future gives me that feeling. In Antwerp, it is this cathedral.

Different cities, different centuries, completely different architecture, yet both remind me how a building can become so much more than stone.

It can make you stop, look up, smile… and feel proud🤍

Who knew being a woman over 50 came with a full-time maintenance schedule? 😂

6:30 AM: get up, hydrate, take the supplements, think about hormones, protect the muscle, eat enough protein, lift the weights, do the cardio, get the steps in, work on mobility, reduce the stress, sleep enough, remember the creatine… and apparently we are also supposed to glow while doing all of it😇😂

At this point, staying fit after 50 deserves its own project manager.

But here we are… showing up, getting stronger and having a little fun with it💪🏼🩷

Because 50+ is definitely not about slowing down. It’s about learning what your body needs and then adding it to the to-do list😂

What does it really take to bring a show of this scale to life?

Looking back at the opening of Riyadh Season last year, one moment I particularly enjoyed was welcoming H.E. Pascal Grégoire, Ambassador of Belgium, backstage and having the opportunity to personally take him behind the scenes.

Not just to show him what was happening on stage (or on the streets on this particular project😉), but to explain everything that happens long before the audience sees the final result.

I was incredibly proud to walk him through our backstage world and share more about the responsibilities of 555 Global Live Experience, the teams involved, the preparation, the coordination and the countless details that come together to create an opening ceremony of this magnitude.

For me, these are the moments that make our work even more meaningful.

Being able to represent a Belgian-founded company in Saudi Arabia, while giving our Belgian Ambassador a closer look at the people, expertise and dedication behind such an important Saudi event, felt very special.

The audience sees the spectacle…

Backstage, you see the people who make the spectacle possible❤️
