I got to marry my best friend last weekend. Our prayer has simply been this: Jesus, be the center of it all. We are not special. There’s nothing we did individually to deserve or earn this. God has been faithful and blessed us with more than we can imagine, and we simply want to give him all the glory. If our marriage can show even the slightest glimpse of his glory during our time on earth, then it’s mission success! Yesterday, my grandma, JoAnn McGill, went home to Jesus. Prayers for my family are appreciated. We are at peace because we know she’s doing exactly what she loves most - sitting at the feet of Jesus and worshipping him. Her life was a beautiful example of what it looks like to be fully surrendered to God and constantly overflowing with his joy, compassion, and love. The fruit that was produced in her life was evidence that this world was not her home.

The last video was when my family was upstairs practicing some worship songs. Grandma had never been upstairs in our house before, because her knee problems made it nearly impossible. But on this night, she couldn’t help but find a way to get up there when she heard us singing praise. I like to think that the end of her life on earth was the same way - she just couldn’t wait to go upstairs to join grandad and all the angels in the everlasting song of praise.

Last night I got down on 1 knee in the same room where I first locked eyes with @graciekatec

God has done so much in our lives since that first night, and he has made it so obvious that we were made to do this life together. Our story is just one big testimony of God’s faithfulness, and we can’t wait to see what he does next! Gracie Kate is a gift from the Lord that I did nothing to deserve. There are no words to describe how thankful I am for her, so I just say THANK YOU JESUS!

1 whole year with @graciekatec by my side. What a blessing! I had no idea how much my life was going to change when I went to that Chris Renzema concert last October. Nothing has been the same since that night! She is a gift from God, and I don’t know what I did to deserve her. She reminds me of HIS goodness and faithfulness every single day. She has the kindest heart and the most beautiful soul I’ve ever known. Thank you Jesus for bringing this woman into my life!!!
