This week I had a lovely dinner at @thehainanstory with @vanzephyr and pals. 🪇 The food on the table was comforting, familiar, and delicious (Signature Curry Fish Head FTW!). We had fun taking pix, swapping stories, enjoying the food while laughing together, creating memories. 🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻 Watch till the end of the video to see what really went down during dinner lol. 😆

I may be a solitary loner, but I definitely enjoy food much more when there's good company. Thanks much Vanessa for the invitation. 💋💋💋

The Hainan Story is a great choice for cozy casual meal with family and friends, since the menu features all the Hainanese heritage delicacies spanning breakfast, light bites, and main entrees. The last time I went I brought my visiting Japanese penpal and we chit-chatted over kaya toast in air-conditioned comfort (important for overseas visitors!). IMO it's a suitable place to experience a facet of SG food culture. 💃🏻

This started as a photograph.

I converted the original photo to black and white because I felt it worked better that way.

When Singapore-based artist José Martinez saw it on my IG feed, he was drawn to the tenderness of an older brother looking after his little sister and asked if he could paint it.

José chose to place the children against the backdrop of Emerald Hill, an area whose heritage he has long admired during his 36 years in Singapore.

As he painted, he was reminded of his own two younger sisters and the memories of looking after them when they were children.

I love how the same image can inspire different stories. What began as a photograph became a painting shaped by memory, nostalgia and sibling love.

🗼 I returned to Tokyo for this view ❤️🖤

I absolutely adore Tokyo Tower 🫶🫶🫶 Dining with this beauty right in front of me was absolutely surreal ❤️🖤

My friend & I were lucky 🍀 Managed to get a spot at one of the 4 Tokyo Tower Tables.

It was one of the happiest days of my March’s Japan trip 😍😍

🌸 Didn’t expect Sakura on 14 March 2026 🌸

After a happy cafe trip, I saw a lone sakura tree in full bloom at a Catholic church, totally unexpected 💖💖💖

I spent 30 mins leisurely taking pics & vids. I was ecstatic when this bird came to visit 🤩🤩 Truly one of the most special moments of my recent trip 💛💛

It’s been 8 years since my last visit, and this is my 6th time in Hong Kong. Central feels like an old friend, one that never loses its spark.

I may not love crowds, but I love the energy, the rhythm, and the view every time I’m here 🩵🩵

A thoughtful afternoon at the Nakanoshima Museum of Art, Osaka, exploring the works of Sarah Morris.

I noticed a fellow visitor studying each painting carefully (Pic 1). I found myself doing the same, spending time with each artwork and discovering new details the longer I looked.
