Hello everyone! As some of you may or may not know, I have a YouTube channel now, under the same name. Inspired deeply by this art movement, I made it so that I could create music mix videos of music that I enjoy as well as create some of my own vapor tracks at some point. I have already begun to workshop a few tracks, and though they are not done yet and I do not know when they are going to be done, I did already take the time to compile a first mix. It is not monetized, and there should be no mid-roll ads. I hope you will check it out. Likes, subs, and comments are all very appreciated but not required if you don't want to leave them. I will put it in a highlight on my account here.

Photo and editing both by me. Please do not remove my signature and/or repost without credit. Also, if you decide to repost it somewhere, maybe just send it to me because I'd like to see it LOL.

This is going to be a serious post, one out of the ordinary of what you’re used to seeing from me, but it’s a topic I feel I not only should talk about for my own healing, but that I should talk about because I feel that no one else is really talking about it. Although not in any heavy detail, this post contains the topics of s3xu4l trauma and brief mentions of S/H, and while I would like for word to get out about what I’ve been through, I understand entirely if you are not in the place to receive this. If this is you, enjoy the art and don’t feel obligated to read any further.
.
As it would turn out, no one has to touch your outside physical form in order for one to sustain s3xu4l trauma on-par with those of whom did experience such a thing. I was exposed to explicit content online from the ages of 12-18 and I find now through speaking with therapists and other survivors that I have lost the same things as someone who had gone through SA. In fact, I do indeed call my trauma a form of SA because honestly, some of what I saw was either put there for the reason of shocking and causing distress or it was put there to perpetuate 4buse. It was an 4ssault on my mind, and at the end of the day, that’s where all of the trauma winds up…mine just got direct shipping. Even my therapist says that the attack was physical to me. I experience extreme triggers and loss, and because no one talks about this, I often feel like my trauma isn’t “enough”--and that’s a very easy thing for a denying, grieving mind to grab on to. It’s hell. I’ve fallen into a lot of S/H because of that. Because part of me thinks that something “physical” will “make it enough”
.
Because no one talks about this kind of trauma as openly as they do the other routes for it.
.
So I’m going to talk about it.

⚠️PLEASE READ⚠️
I would like to give an update to this account. I would like to clarify that I have not stopped making art, and I never will. I hope you won't, either.

I will be the first to admit that I spent a while legitimately addicted to this app, but my time away has taught me that it is truly not a specific year or decade that we miss, we missed the feeling of being present. We miss the whimsy and the joy we saw everywhere, but the truth is... These things don't have to go away just because they are no longer what is seen in the mainstream. Each of us has the power to make our mark; to reintroduce color into the world in one way or another, be it as large as building a business or as small as putting a sticker on a bottle. And the truth is, small things add up. I remember hearing a monk: "everyone wants to save the world, but no one wants to help mom do dishes". Small actions add up. Local change can become worldwide. If you are at all able to reduce/quit socials, I urge you to do so.

Do not bend your knee to the attention economy. Do not sacrifice the human birthright of creativity.

⛓️🪽🔥THE DARK PRINCE 🔥🪽⛓️

It was sad to see that there was no iteration of Final of Puyo Puyo on here to add to this post, but that's okay. I drew this in pen a while back, but I never posted. Enjoy this Dark Prince / Satan that reminds me a little of Dio and also Castlevania.

As always, my reposting rules apply. The built-in feature where you tap a button to share this post of my own is okay, but please do not take this drawing and repost it elsewhere, be it on a different Instagram account or somewhere else.

But you can lift the fandom dying meme all you want lol

Art by me traditionally, edited digitally to enhance contrast for visibility for digital viewing. Puyo Puyo belongs to SEGA.

Probably one of the last posts of OC art you're going to see for a very long time, but I had plans to post this one for a while, so now that it's been done for a while, I've decided I want to post it.

For the record, this is my OC Cyrus, whose features I based off of Benjamin Orr (and used a photo of him as a reference).

I drew this after watching a how-to that @hussein_retrodesign80 posted...a WHILE ago, lol. I took some pointers from the video and adapted it to my style and medium (in this case, this is ink and watercolor). I lined it and left it, then came back and finished it, and I've just been sitting on it for a while lol. To say that hussein_retrodesign80's work inspires me is a gross understatement.

Much of the symbolism in the back has to do with justice and courage, with different symbols from different cultures, such as the number 11 and the sword. There's some more stuff at the top, but I couldn't get it in the crop. Specifically, I wrote 2 Timothy 1:7, which is a verse I felt fit the character well. I also included some other things in the back too.

This was supposed to be more a "true color" portrait, but I laid the blue and pink as an underpainting and then realized it was extremely fire, so I just kept it like that.

I tried to edit it to make sure the colors looked as vibrant on the screen as they do in real life, and I would say I got pretty close here if not going over by just a little bit. The colors are astounding in person, and I hope that they are still astounding here as well.

(As always, IG's built in repost/share feature is okay. "Repost" in this context refers to taking the image and posting it on another account as a post other than this one on my account.) by @vaporglaive

🌌 THE VOID IS WITHIN 🌌

I know this is an edit of something I've already posted here, but it also happens to be the (ill-fitted to the screen be that as it may right now) background image for my newest Vaporwave mix! Consider checking it out, especially if you like slower, more existential vapor and slush.

Image is mine; please do not repost (as in create a new post; the two arrows icon feature in here to share to your followers directly from me is fine).

A fresh photo edit for your ever-looming thirst for vapor. Though these forgotten springs may have dried out, here you may drink freely.

Photo and edit both by me. Please do not repost (as in take the image and make a new post, the sharing repost feature on IG is okay) without first acquiring my express consent. As well, please provide a link back to this account with your repost, and link me to your repost as well (I just wanna see it lol). Do not, under any circumstances, remove my signature/watermark.

Hope you're all doing well!!

Posting a drawing for the first time in perhaps forever. This one is not done technically, but I liked it so much at this stage that I had to share it as is. Peep the new signature btw!

Do not give up hope. Together, we can rebuild local community -- but we must be willing to learn how to communicate and compromise in a healthy way for everyone involved. Something I am learning through my therapy journey is that repair skills are so, so important. It is not practical to simply cut people off as a first line of defense. Community takes work--it demands that we reflect on ourselves without bending our knee to individualism; it demands that we hold multiple concepts as true at once. And not only is community is worth that work, but we will be more at peace with ourselves because of it.

We are whole on our own, and we can do great things on our own--AND we as humans need other humans in our lives, all at once.

Foster a friendship today. Strengthen a bond. Compliment the cashier.

Reach out.

Original art by me (ballpoint pens on mixed media paper); edited by me in MediBang Paint Pro. I reserve all rights; please ask before reposting and do not repost without crediting me, linking this post, and receiving explicit permission from me to repost with the above conditions first.

"Repost" function on the post to re-share this post to your folllowers' without creating a new one is fine, of course.
