SAILED THE BIG SHIPS? 🚢
HERE’S WHY I KEEP CHOOSING SMALL SHIP CRUISING 🛥️🌊

After sailing Italy with @varietycruises this summer, one thing became crystal clear:
small ships just feel different…in the best way.

It’s quieter. Slower. More intentional.
You’re closer to the sea, closer to the places you’re visiting, and honestly… closer to yourself.

Instead of crowds and schedules, it’s about moments: watching the coastline drift by, pulling into places most ships can’t, and actually having time to breathe it all in.

The ship doesn’t feel like a floating city…it feels like a vessel designed to move with the ocean, not overpower it.

You get to know the crew, recognise faces onboard, and share experiences that feel genuinely personal.

I finish these trips feeling refreshed, inspired, and deeply connected, not rushed or overstimulated.

This is why I sail small.
And why I keep coming back to experiences like this with @varietycruises 🤍

Since 1949, we’ve held one belief at our heart: true luxury lies in the small things.

Our new campaign, Small is Our Luxury™, celebrates the essence of intimate travel — smaller ships that feel like private yachts, smaller groups that create a sense of family, and the freedom to explore charming villages and hidden bays where authentic moments unfold.

From sharing meals inspired by local cuisine to spontaneous swims in secluded coves, it’s these meaningful details — not grand excess — that define how we travel.

This is how we continue to redefine luxury: through simplicity, connection, and soul. ❤️

In a world where time often feels rushed and experiences are fleeting, we invite you to slow down and savor the small luxuries that make travel truly enriching!

Join us and discover what real luxury feels like ⚓️

Watching the Temple of Poseidon glow in the sunset was already a dream come true but experiencing it from the water made it unforgettable.

Just as the sun began to set, our captain guided the @varietycruises Variety Voyager into the beautiful harbor, where we dropped anchor beneath the temple. Away from the crowds, surrounded by the sea and a small group of fellow passengers, the moment felt wonderfully intimate and peaceful. Cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, and that golden view Greece at its most magical.

We’ve gone a long way since 1949 when our founder realized we have something special to offer- a solution to a problem- island hoping made easy, with meaning, education, and community. Showcasing the destination our way. Lots have tried to replicate the experience since, but there is no place like home, and that’s what we are. Your home away from home- at sea. So we look forward to having you back on board, and for those who have never been on a VARIETY before, come join the adventure and discover why WE ARE WHAT OTHERS CLAIM TO BE - original vintage postcard from the 70ies from our since-retired wooden caique ZEUS… and swipe right for a touch of what’s in store for you today on board our flagship VARIETY VOYAGER 💙 by @varietycruises

From the moment we arrived aboard the @varietycruises Voyager, Mykonos felt like a dream unfolding before us. The brilliant blue of the Aegean, the glowing white buildings, vivid blue shutters, and iconic windmills made every turn feel like a postcard come to life.

Walking through the beautiful streets and winding alleyways was especially peaceful and perfect taking our time, admiring every little detail, and simply soaking in the island’s charm. Along the waterfront, the waves shimmered beside Little Venice, while the Greek sunshine made everything glow.

A beautiful island, a perfect day, and memories we’ll carry with us long after sailing away. by @varietycruises

A little slice of Greek magic with @varietycruises

We explored beautiful Poros, wandering through the waterfront before climbing up to the island’s iconic clock tower. The higher we went, the more the views opened up red tiled rooftops, the sparkling harbor, and blue stretching out to the horizon. It was worth every step and made for an unforgettable stop on our cruise.

Ever dreamed of mooring off a Greek island and having a beach all to yourself?

On Samos, @varietycruises Voyager brought us to a little slice of paradise with no one else in sight. We stepped ashore by tender and let the morning slow down, soft waves rolling onto the beach, birds calling from the shore, warm sunshine on our faces, and nothing but peace all around us.

No crowds! No rush! No notifications just the sound of the sea, the joy of unplugging, and time to truly relax.

This is the magic of traveling on a smaller ship and what an incredible morning it was. by @varietycruises

We are delighted and honoured to welcome the founder and CEO of @insiderexpeditions “Captain Carl” aboard Variety Voyager for a journey through the Greek Islands, customised around their expedition group’s interests and vision.

From alumni associations and nonprofits to museums and incentive groups, we help our partners bring their vision to life at sea, creating meaningful experiences for their invited guests.

Behind every journey is our dedicated team, bringing together safety, comfort and deep destination knowledge—a family tradition since 1949.

Your vision. Our ships. Extraordinary possibilities. by @varietycruises
