We never thought we would close a wedding, but last weekend in Bristol proved to be an unexpected and amazing experience.

Thank you so much to Kitty and Dan for trusting in us and to everyone going sick on the dancefloor, what a vibe!

Special thanks to @schemeboy303 @varispeed303 for making it happen.

Big up Bristol!

Varispeed Socialz 058 lands on Friday 30th October for our 2026 Halloween edition.

We're honoured to have industrial techno luminary Stormtrooper join us for this one. He has been driving hard electronic music out of Germany since 1997. He broke through with Todesvögel on Industrial Strength, runs the Rave Muzik label and has released on Deathchant, Mokum, Motormouth and Oblivion, to name but a few from his vast back catalogue. He has also made breakcore as German Rhythm Disaster, so he knows exactly what this room likes. He doesn't play the UK often, so this is a rare chance to catch him in Bristol.

Ronin is back with us for his second Socialz. A London free party veteran, he has spent decades taking his unique meld of tekno, hardcore, drum & bass and breakcore across Europe and beyond.

Bristol's own Dirty Chronic bring their multi-genre, breakcore-infused rave back to Socialz, continuing their mission to create the silliest mosh pits in the west.

Scheme Boy and Fucknose have been good friends for years and share a deep love of industrial hardcore, yet they have never performed together. You could often find them in the kitchen at an after-party, grumbling to each other about some god-awful tune someone has just put on, but they've never got up there together to show everyone how it's done. Until now.

Socialz 058. Friday 30th October. £6 on the door. Music starts at 9pm.
See you in the sweatbox.

Throwback to 2023 when @asemic.audio took over @clockfactorybristol - a project our creative director was massively involved in bringing about.

We delivered the goods then, bringing raw energy to the table and turning your ears to dust in the process.

Now that you've had a few years to recover, we're back with EXRCISM.

Do yourself a favour - don't miss out.

Bristol is a magical place, since the very first time I came across bigger DJs from Europe people in the know have been saying Bristol is the centre of the hard and weird electronic music scene. There has been very very many amazing nights over the years. However what @schemeboy303 is doing with Varispeed is very unique, it feels very intimate, a small sweaty room with the most dedicated and passionate people. As a DJ it’s a dream to play, the stage set up, the rig, the decks, everything is just easy, so you can focus on playing to your best. I also have to give a big shout out to @sumnsf for giving me a dub right before this gig, unfortunately no videos of that but that tune felt like a highlight of the set. Again, I am continuously humbled by the people who support me and give me a place to do my cathartic noise rituals. Varispeed is a community and although its Schemeboy's baby, there’s a wider circle of community who pitch in and help out. We can all try and shine light in to darkness, but our signal is so much more powerful when we support each other and amplify each other. I want to break down the walls of Jericho and I can’t do that alone.....join us 🪬🖤⭕️

Track list:

1) @rabbeat.music – Stop Talking
2) @zerosum – Terminal Utopia + @nagazaki_hc & @djipexcore – Falling apart
3) @deformermusic – Bone Breaker (@angerfist_official remix)
4) Micron – Focused State (Skiztaph0nic bootleg) taken in Bristol, United Kingdom by @varispeed303
