Finally
Varshil Ajmera - Director - Campus

Varshil Tushar Ajmera is an award-winning and LEO-nominated director based in Vancouver, BC, with a body of work that includes the critically acclaimed films "The Talk," "Mrs. Rosa's European Vacation," and his upcoming horror/slasher feature, "Campus." His films have garnered industry recognition, with one of his projects winning the Audience Choice Best Film Award at Langara and earning six awards at the Hollywood North Film Awards. Additionally, his work has been featured at prestigious festivals, including the Whistler Film Festival and the LEO Awards, cementing his reputation as a rising talent in the industry.

🔸From the Director :-

"Campus" is a deeply personal film, drawn from my own experience as an international student in Canada. Moving to a new country, far from home, you constantly feel the pressure of trying to make it on your own. Back home, you have a safety net—people you can count on—but in a foreign country, that sense of security is gone. You eventually make friends, but that underlying fear of failure still lingers.
You also feel like an outsider. The language barrier, the cultural differences—you find yourself trying to change just to fit in. And then there’s the financial stress, which only adds to the weight of it all.
With this film, I want to bring those feelings to the surface, to show what it’s really like for international students. But the story isn’t just about us. Domestic students have their own struggles too. Many feel disconnected, like their own country no longer feels like home. With the government pushing to bring in more international students, domestic students are witnessing this huge wave of immigration, and that comes with its own challenges.
Through "Campus," I hope not only to entertain but also to spark a conversation about these social issues that impact both international and domestic students.
