I'm sure many of you can relate to those moments in life when you don’t get to choose the challenge; you only get to choose how you will respond. My military father taught me discipline. My mother taught me strength.

And life has taught me that sometimes, you have to do hard things.

I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to share a little more of my story in this podcast conversation and reflect on the journey that has shaped both my life and my work.

Through every move, every risk, every professional leap, every loss, and every unexpected challenge, I’ve learned that resilience isn’t about never struggling. It’s about continuing to show up, learning along the way, and doing the next right thing.

Sometimes you have to make a hard decision to make room for what matters most. In 2006, I sold my house because I wanted to be closer to my family.

At the time, I was working at the Florida Legislature and was about five hours away. I knew I wanted to be in a position to show up, not just when it was convenient, but when my family needed me.

I simply wanted to be closer to my parents. Today, I realize that decision gave me something far more valuable: time I can never get back ... but will always treasure. ❤️

Sometimes, you just have to keep showing up.

There were plenty of moments in my entrepreneurial journey when I had no idea where the next opportunity would come from. I simply knew I had to keep doing the work, building relationships, telling my story, and staying ready.
