As we fill out our vendor application for the 2027 @phillyweddingwalk, we’ve been taking a look back at the magnificent time we had last year.

The Wedding Walk has beautifully captured the experience on their website for everyone to revisit and enjoy - link in stories- and seeing all of the incredible vendors who brought this unforgettable day to life showcased so beautifully is truly special.

Beyond the celebration itself, the relationships we’ve built with fellow vendors and clients throughout the experience have been invaluable. If you’re a wedding professional, we highly recommend applying to be a vendor for this year’s Wedding Walk!

Here’s to another incredible Wedding Walk! šŸ„‚ taken in Vaux Studio by @vauxstudio

Meet Chanel Friscia, the creative behind Vaux Studio.

Chanel is a designer, florist, entrepreneur, and mom of four whose work has always been rooted in making things by hand and finding beauty in the details. Her creative path has taken many forms over the years, from floral design and event production to gardening, herbalism, and working on farms. She’s drawn to the process as much as the finished piece: growing something, shaping something, and seeing an idea become real.

Today, that hands-on approach is at the heart of her work at Vaux. When she’s not designing weddings, Chanel is raising her four children, tending to her garden or training jiu-jitsu. Each of these things asks for a different kind of attention, patience, and curiosity, and all of them find their way back into how she works.

At Vaux, Chanel personally creates the studio’s in-house florals, bringing an instinctive eye for color, texture, movement, and seasonality to each celebration. She loves working with flowers in a way that feels natural and considered rather than overly prescribed, allowing the design to evolve alongside each couple’s vision.

For Chanel, much of the joy is in the making. She believes the most meaningful spaces and celebrations are often the ones where you can feel the care behind them — where the details have a reason for being there, and where nothing feels quite like it could have been made for anyone else. taken in Vaux Studio by @vauxstudio

Are you even a @philadelphiaeagles fan if you don’t take wedding pics at Lincoln Financial? Alyssa pulled off the ultimate surprise on their wedding day and they had their first look in the tunnel and got to explore the locker room and take photos on the field before they held their ceremony at Vaux.

This gallery will live rent free in my head forevaaaa. Go birds ✨

As we move from summer to fall palettes, floral inspiration begins to evolve. The airy, effortless summer inspo, evolves into richer tones and more nuanced textures that feel connected to the season.

When we discuss florals with our couples, they often want to bridge the gap between the seasons. Rather than selecting flowers that are identical, we look for blooms and foliage that are related in tone and scale, but vary in texture and compsotion. This allows each floral element to complement the next, creating a cohesive visual story.

For us, seasonal design is never about limiting possibilities. It is about understanding what is naturally available and allowing the seasonal availability to inform the work. By thoughtfully pairing florals with complementary textures, tonal variations, and organic movement, we can honor a couple’s personal aesthetic while creating arrangements that feel sophisticated, timeless, and beautiful.

The result is a floral design that feels neither overly dictated by trend nor confined by season, but rather a thoughtful expression of both. taken in Vaux Studio by @vauxstudio

During the planning process, we encourage couples to make space for the moments that feel deeply personal.

One of our favorites, and one that may be a little less traditional, is greeting your parents and bridal party before the ceremony. Often times, the first time everyone lays eyes on you as a couple is at the alter.

We’ve had the privilege of witnessing a handful of these moments, and every time the galleries come back, we’re reminded just how much emotion lives in that quiet pause.

As you plan your day, think beyond the traditions and make room for elements and moments that feel true to you. Your wedding day is the beginning of something new, but it is also a reflection of everything that brought you here- making room to celebrate the people and love that have shaped you makes for the loveliest memories. taken in Vaux Studio by @vauxstudio

FLORAL FRIDAY HOT TAKE: Your wedding bouquet doesn’t have to be oversized or overflowing with blooms to make an impact. Sometimes, a simple, thoughtfully designed bouquet is the perfect choice.

A few intentional blooms, beautiful movement, and the right balance of texture can feel incredibly refined, and allow your dress, venue, and overall bridal look to shine alongside it.

Whether you’re drawn to a petite posy, a loose hand-tied bouquet, or a single-variety arrangement, simplicity can feel just as luxurious as abundance.

The goal isn’t to have more flowers. It’s to have the right flowers.

What happens when you bring a room full of creatives to the same table? Ideas get shared. Stories unfold. Collaborations begin.

This week, we’re spotlighting @themakerstable.co, a Philadelphia creative community built around one simple belief: the best ideas are often born when we make, gather, and connect together.

Founded by Alex and Sydney, The Makers Table brings together artists, chefs, musicians, designers, artisans, entrepreneurs, photographers, and makers for thoughtfully curated dinners, events, and experiential collaborations.

Every gathering is designed to create more than a moment, it’s about building genuine relationships and making space for unexpected creative connections.

We love what The Makers Table is cultivating in Philly- a community where creativity isn’t competitive, collaboration is celebrated, and there’s always room for one more idea at the table.

Here’s to the people making Philadelphia more connected, more creative, and a whole lot more interesting. taken in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania by @vauxstudio

When you remember to take content šŸ¤ŒšŸ¼

For this Floral Friday, we’re showcasing some florals and a tablescape we did for an event last Saturday.

We had the pleasure of working alongside Monica from @hillbirdcompany to coordinate and design a luncheon.

It was to celebrate the launch of her wedding guide, but more importantly, to thank the couples and vendors who made it possible.

The design direction was ā€œunstructured and whimsical,ā€ with a color palette of varying greens.

I’ve worked closely with Monica for years, so I was confident in following through with minimal direction and infused the day with texture, leggy florals, and even repurposed table runners to create interest as a tablecloth. by @vauxstudio

A studio spotlight & suite announcement, because how could we not with these captures?!

We will dive right in with the announcement that we have included the SUITE space into all of our packages! The suite will no longer be an enhancement and will be part of the experience for every couple.

Over the next few weeks we will be announcing small changes we’ve been working on, consider this your first glimpse into all the ways Vaux is evolving & appreciate the artistry and elegance in these captures from @ellpetersphotography, because we’ve been swooning for weeks.

Working with Ell, it’s clear that she has a genuine connection to her subjects and captures the vulnerability and personality of her clients and their surroundings.

Originally from South Africa and now based in New Jersey, Ell photographs weddings throughout New Jersey, New York, Philadelphia, and worldwide. Her style is cinematic and story-driven, capturing each celebration as it naturally unfolds while offering gentle direction when needed.

The result? Romantic, emotional imagery that feels timeless and personal.

There’s something beautifully intentional about the way @ellpetersphotography sees a wedding day & we’re so lucky we get to experience her magic.
