🇮🇹🔥 They didn’t just bring the heat — they brought Italy to the table. Last Thursday, September 24, our Professional Cook Level 1 students took over the kitchen for an Italian-inspired lunch buffet and mamma mia, they delivered. 🍝👨‍🍳👩‍🍳 With their program coming to an end, this buffet was a chance to put their skills, teamwork, and creativity to the test. From the kitchen to the buffet line, every dish was a little taste of what these future cooks can do. A big grazie mille to everyone who joined us, supported our students, and came hungry! ❤️ To our students: you came, you cooked, you conquered. 🇮🇹👏 What a way to finish the program! Meet Zack Bernardo ✨ Zack's story started in the Philippines, cooking alongside his dad and finding a love for food that stayed with him all the way to Canada. Since moving to Vancouver in 2022, he has worked hard to keep learning, competing, and earning his place in the kitchen. Along the way came some big milestones - including BC Culinary Apprentice of the Year 2025 and podium finishes at the Jeunes Chefs des Rôtisseurs competitions. But for Zack, this journey is about more than awards. It's about growth, teamwork, and the chance to represent the country he now calls home. This November, Zack will be part of Culinary Team Canada's journey to Luxembourg for the 2026 RAK Porcelain Culinary World Cup. We're proud to have him with us. 🇮🇹 Week Two: That’s Amore! 🍝✨ Week two of our lunch buffet is officially wrapped, and this time, we took a delicious trip to Italy! 🇮🇹 A big grazie mille to everyone who joined us, filled their plates, and supported our student chefs. Your encouragement, feedback, and enthusiasm make every service a little more special. ❤️ We’re also happy to say that week two brought smoother service, more confidence, and plenty of lessons learned. Our students are finding their rhythm with every rotation and yes, there may still be a few al dente moments along the way. 😉👩‍🍳 Thank you for being part of the learning experience and for cheering our students on as they grow into culinary professionals.
