London Fashion Week…Elephant hide and kozo paper, kirigami transformation. This is a reworking or my @paperonskin entry, modeled so brilliantly by Kelly Nahama @memore.tv Exhibiting my work at this year’s London Fashion Week has been a fantastic opportunity! I was also interviewed by sky news and had articles in five national news feeds. Such a pleasure to share the runway with the sustainable fashion of @garethvolka . The fashion runway allows me to showcase the versatility and flexibility of my #drawstringorigami brand. I am not exclusively a fashion designer and like to stretch my skills by participating in many design challenges. Sculpture, Soft robotics, packaging, therapy toys and lighting solutions are some of my current focuses. I must say, however, the performance element and collaborative nature of the fashion runway has me hooked! Thanks so much to @samantabullock #bullockinclusion for THE fashion event of the year! Sound, light, and kinetic movement on the LFW runway. This golden paper gown, inspired by Kyoto Noh theatre, just made its debut for @biglobalofficial. Notice the intricately ribbed, concentric folds—when lifted, those massive wings transform into an enormous, tactile sound funnel. This piece is part of my 12-look "Amplitude" collection, where deep research into waveforms meets the precision of kirigami and paper engineering. By utilizing spring-loaded hinges, the ridged paper is transformed into a dual-structure, kinetic material. These images capture a full year of intense development for the Amplitude collection. Body architecture is undoubtedly the hardest challenge I’ve ever embraced. Merging structure, aesthetics, and fashion iconography with the raw physics of waveforms has been a deep dive into sensory mechanics. My @paperonskin look is the direct collation of all this relentless research, form-finding, and kirigami experimentation.
