I had a new deconstruction project, in which the objective was to deconstruct a shirt and other garment to make an dress and i deconstructed a shirt and a saree( saree’s fall) to make a dress

The design is Risqué and the story behind it is Apsara (Hindu mythological female figure like a nymph) went clubbing in Swarg (Heaven for Hindu religions)… The revealing nature of the dress also corresponds to thousands and thousands of indian sculptures with varying scales of exposure of skin.

The dress has deconstructed cuffs from shirts and a tube top piece for the chest which had two sets of straps ( for support) one ties at the back and the another at the neck as a halter design. The straps at the back is attached to the small underbust bustier which is then attached to the lower part of the dress (the skirt pieces). For closure back pieces of the bustier are cut on the button placates of the shirt and to those pieces a pair of hook and eye is attached to connect the bustier and the back side of the skirt pieces. The design also contains to cowels at the hip to have a risqué element.
