🩷 NEXT WEEKEND 🩷 World Solidarity Day is We The Free’s flagship event, now in its fifth year. On one day, Saturday 1 or Sunday 2 August, activists run 4–6 hour demonstrations for the animals, a wave of peaceful, powerful public presence rolling right across the globe.Our UK demonstration brings a 28ft (8.5m) truck screen into the city centre, with the audio streamed through wireless silent-disco headphones. I was the BIGGEST tofu hater... for like the first 3 YEARS I was vegan (even after starting this account). I wouldn't even have it at restaurants. But now... tofu LOVER over here ✋ I eat it ALL THE TIME!Just like we don't eat unseasoned meat - YUCK 🤮 - I wouldn't recommend eating unseasoned tofu (reserved for hardcore vegans only). You just need to know how to cook it right. Add the right seasoning. Choose the right type of tofu for the recipe you are making. Etc. Go to a few vegan restaurants and try it out in several shapes and forms. Because of its traditional roots in several Asian cultures, tofu is cheap, widespread, practical, extremely nutritious, and super tasty - I promise!So go watch some Youtube videos with the best recipes and don't give up on tofu just yet!I promise it is worth it ;)#tofu #tofutweets #tofurecipes #tofuforever #vegantweet by @vegan_activism

🤔 Imagine designing a society without knowing who you'd be in it — human or animal, rich or poor, powerful or powerless. That’s the idea behind philosopher John Rawls’ Veil of Ignorance.🦊 If we had to create laws without knowing whether we’d be born as a male chick on an egg farm or a human in a city, would we still justify factory farming? Animal testing? Species-based exploitation?⚖️ Rawls’ thought experiment challenges us to build a just world by removing bias and privilege. More relatable words have never been said 🩷 Processed meat (ham, sausages, bacon, etc) is a Group 1 Carcinogen (definitely causes cancer) as classified by the World Health Organization.
