I cannot unsee what I've seen & therefore I cannot unknow what I know. Moving through life mindful and with kindness. Living truthfully is my choice.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Just about everything I ate from Fort Lauderdale to Coral Gables, Florida. Literally every where I went there was a vegan option or menu. It was too easy and delicious to be vegan in the area. There were other places I wanted to go but I just did not have enough time or the stomach capacity to make it happen. Next time!!! 🤤 😋 🌱 ❤️ 🍽️

Happy 5 year vegan anniversary to me 🎉This is a #repost of my very 1st post. Becoming vegan was the best decision I made for my life.
・・・
In life we will lose "#followers ", but there are people who will stand with us, when we bravely speak the #truth. So, when people unfollow you, know that you are left standing amongst #leaders. Historically, people who speak the truth have been considered the minority; the people who go against the norms set by a society cultured in tradition, rather than morale. These people are persecuted and labelled as troublemakers, outsiders and crazy by a society that doesn't want to change because it would be inconvenient. People have asked me if it was hard to become #vegan. Yes, it was, but not because of the food. The food was easy! *And after 5 years vegan, the food is so much more wholesome, diverse, creative, nutritious, delicious AND AVAILABLE. With so much selection and new products, I don’t miss a thing* The part that was difficult was the truth; the realization about what has become of #humanity and what we have allowed to be our truth; what has been dictated to us as acceptable. The difficult part of Veganism is when my heart struggles to know that every second that it takes me to write this post 3,000 innocent beings are slaughtered. The struggle is in knowing that I can't save them all. The struggle is in knowing that there are innocent babies without their mothers. The struggle is accepting that I contributed to the industry for 39 years. The struggle is in conversations with people who haven't accepted the truth. So, no, being vegan isn't easy, being ignorant was easy. And, I will continue to struggle, because it's the right thing to do. I struggle because I know that the emotion that overwhelms me is because my heart is open, and doing the right thing is the only thing that matters. Poor babies shake in fear. I don’t know how you watch them and still think that what comes next is normal or humane. Your tastebuds are just NOT more important than their lives.

Vegan option on Eva Air
I wish these airlines would hire a vegan to cook their vegan meals. All of my meals 4/10. 😏. However, I’m grateful that they even had the option.
