The most uneventful finish in the 66 year history of the Balboa Park 8 Miler! 👏🤣
Still a beautiful course and with very minimal traffic I mostly ran it in the road anyway! 🏃🏼‍♂️🌸🎋🏅 taken in Balboa Park by @veganrunnerchief

Medal Monday but also appreciation post to @keirahenninger for putting on a magnificent race! Thank you to the local Cahuilla people for allowing us to run on your land and for the beautiful handmade race swag 🙏💗 lastly not leastly my lovely wife for crewing me to a 3rd place finish. I’d never done a loop course race, we ran the same 4.6 mile loop 7 times for the 50K so I wasn’t sure mentally but I absolutely loved this format! So nice to just run and not constantly wonder what was coming next... 🤔 but now what is next?... p.s. notice the shoe change in the pics.. 🙃 I started in Torins thinking the course was all fire road but switched to Timps after the 3rd lap for a bit more grip. taken in Anza, California by @veganrunnerchief
