Was inspired by the stories from #tribesofthewastelands to create a larger model for my #ashwastesnomads for #Necromunda. Getting the #kruelboyz creature from the #stormbringermagazine was great! #conversion #kitbash #kitbashingwarhammer #warhammercommunity #warhammer #warhammer40kminiatures #ashwastes #swampbossskumdrekk by @veit.man
How it started vs How its going. Working on the cleanup to get #kaigarnis ready to printing standard. Learning to use #blender3d on the fly is fun actually. #3dprintingminiatures #3dprint #3dsculpting #sculpting #stormlightarchive #cosmererpg #cosmere #thunderclast by @veit.man
How hard can this 3d thing be right? Thanks to @fablab.sh I was able to scan the #thunderclast sculpt I made. Now I need to find out how to fix it up to make it usable for #3dprintingminiatures and then, who knows. Maybe I can get the approval to distribute it to everyone who wants a Thunderclast for the #cosmererpg. @cosmererpg @brotherwisegames @brandsanderson #cosmere #stormlightarchive #cosmerefanart #miniature #miniaturegaming #sculpting #rpg by @veit.man
Just finished #Tara and #Gale from #BaldursGate3 The sculpt is made by the awesome folks @bulkamancers I can only recommend them. Insane quality sculpts. This was my first forray out of the 28mm format and I was really surprised how well the same techniques translate to a miniature of such a different size. Painted for a friend for her 30th birthday. #miniature #miniaturepainter #dnd #figurine #3dprintingminiatures #3dprint #citadelcolors #tressym by @veit.man
Stormbringer Magazin finally brought me Bastian Carthalos, the Lord Castelan. I waited a good while for this guy and had good fun painting him. Plus I got a new camera, so maybe I'll retake a few pictures, cuz these pics look really nice. #paintingwarhammer #warhammercommunity #ageofsigmar #bastiancarthalos #stormcasteternals #miniature #miniaturepainter #miniaturegaming #fantasy by @veit.man
"Even after all these centuries, seeing a Thunderclast up close made Kalak shiver." - From the Prelude to the Stormlight Archive So it took a little over a month from planning it to the finished project. I am proud to present my take on Kai-garnis, the Thunderclast. It's made from mostly cork board, toothpick, #milliput, #tamiyaepoxyputty, and way too much superglue. All in all, I'm pretty happy with the result. Maybe this marks the beginning of a new modelling journey, where I sculpt more, because this was actually a lot of fun. Thank you, @brandsanderson, for writing #stormlightarchive and inspiring this project. Thank you, @ben_mcs, for coming in clutch with extra inspiration, especially for the colours! I'm looking forward to slap this down on a table when playing @cosmererpg and watch the colour drain out of those fledgling #knightsradiant @brotherwisegames #kaigarnis #thunderclast #miniaturepainting #miniature #cosmere #adolinkholin #mayalaran #shardbearer #roshar #voidbringer #truedesolation #cosmererpg by @veit.man
"I'll use Wind Stance. Nothing beats good old Wind Stance." I started on a few #stormlightminis while working on the Thunderclast to get my hands and mind to do something else. #adolinkholin is easily one of my favourite characters in the series, and #wordsofradiance is definitely the book where he really comes into his own. The folks @brotherwisegames really did a good job with these minis! @brandsanderson @dragonsteelbooks #stormlightarchive #cosmere #shardbearer #mayalaran #roshar #whitespineuncaged by @veit.man
Minor spoilers for The Stormlight Archive. With the Cosmere Rpg on the horizon, Wind and Truth out and finished, and already a great deal of Cosmere miniatures in my cabinet, I thought that it would be quite awesome to have a Thunderclast miniature with them. So I put the energy the great Finale of Arc 1 left in me to build a likeness of Kai'garnis. This marks the end of the modelling process and the start of the painting. Took me a good month of planning, glueing, and sculpting. It's hard for me to overstate how much joy @brandsanderson brought me with those books, so I consider this my very small contribution to the community. I will make a complete process post, as well as proper pictures of the finished project when it's done. Life before death, strength before weakness, journey before destination. The #idonethdeepkin will always be my favorite #ageofsigmar esthetic. #loraichildofabyss especially is a great representation of what I live about them, ethereal elegance mixed with the haunting serenity of the deep sea. Very happy with that paint job. #miniaturepainting #warhammercommunity #paintingwarhammer #thekinginyellow by @veit.man
After a long time wait, the #stormlightarchives Kickstarter arrived. It's so fun to see all my favourite and not so favourite characters as amazing miniatures and figurines. Don't even know where I'll start, but I guess it's going to be the #chasmfiend because I just love giant monsters. Great work, @dragonsteelbooks and @brotherwisegames, and thank you @brandsanderson for creating this marvellous universe. #cosmere #stormlightminiatures #stormlightminis #figurine #dalinarkholin #jasnahkholin #kaladinstormblessed #shallandavar #adolinkholin #szethsonsonvallano #thewayofkings #wordsofradiance #oathbringer #rhythmofwar by @veit.man
Spend a lot of hobby time recently getting into #diorama creation. This weekend I spend making a nice display piece for #hexbaneshunters who are easily one of the best #warhammerunderworlds #warband I watch a lot of @squidmarminiatures who's videos inspired me to just give this a shot, and I am super satisfied with the result. Even got good use out of some spare miniatures from my pile of opportunity. @savage_ork_guy made a video that reminded me that I haven't posted these guys yet. On a really strange whim I had to pick up the #ironheadsquats to paint up a ruly gang of #spacedwarf miners for #Necromunda #ashwastes These we a blast to paint, using a #doctorwho inspired paint scheme with really bright colours. by @veit.man
