Mantse — man‑tsɛ — the Ga word for king. Across the Gold Coast, brass portrait masks kept a ruler’s face and memory present for generations; we drew from that language of material memory and worked with a Ghanaian artisan to cast three distinct brass faces, polished and scaled to an ornament that completes each brimless crown. The hats are sewn in Kente, African prints and sustainable western fabrics — velvet and raw silk — a union of craft and contemporary form. Worn with tailoring, streetwear or traditional cloth, Mantse signals dignity, courage and presence. Presented with respect and made in limited edition.
