🔥Thowbackthursday🔥NZ Track Cycling team bikes. Tokyo and Paris Olympic campaigns. I painted 22 Avanti Pistas for the pursuit and sprint riders, 2 BT frames for the endurance riders. Handlebars and seatposts too. It took me approx 3 months to paint the Tokyo batch which was about 16 bikes. These frames have been used in the Commonwealth Games as well. I spent 5-6 hours polishing each frame to a mirror gloss finish. @dnapaints were the supporters of this project and the outcome was incredible🤝#velocreationspaintwork #olympics #trackcycling #bikesofinstagram #instabike by @velo.creationspaintworknz

2009. Racing on possibly the lightest and fastest mountain bikes I've ridden. The Merida 96 weighing at 9.5kg. A good year finishing 2nd in the NZ XC Nationals behind @mikeynorthcott , won the South Island Cup series plus a handful of races down in Canterbury. Bex and I went over to Europe for 3 months travelling and racing claiming a win in Wales and Switzerland, along with a 2nd in Scottish XC Nationals. #nzmtb #mtb #mtbnz #meridabikes #racer by @velo.creationspaintworknz
