Sporting Life 10KGreat seeing all my friends at the start and finish. Love this new course. This is my 14th year running this charitable event and it certainly is faster than the previous route which bypasses the Gardiner Expressway. I haven’t done much speed work since retiring from marathon training. I was targeting 4:40/km pace, but did better than anticipated at 4:20/km. Official chip time 43:44. Wonderful way to enjoy the chilly weather this morning. The ski conditions were so good with nicely groomed trails. @rmui00 and I took advantage of it and we bombed so many runs with a new PB of 74km/h LOL! Took advantage of the fresh 5cm snowfall and hitted the slopes with @rmui00 . The weather was perfect at -3C, no wind and sunshine. The snow was the best at the black diamond sections. Enjoyed our second day in Banff at the Lake Louise Ski Resort. It was a mild day again at -5C and light winds until it picked up in the afternoon with snowfall. First time skiing out west in the Rockies and it didn’t disappoint. I had a blast with my son, his friend plus his dad. We all had a blast on the mountain. The scenery was breathtaking and the natural powder was amazing! I couldn’t get my eyes off it. Weather was mild without much wind. The snow conditions was really good from all the recent accumulation. It was a cold one today at -25C from the Alberta clipper. The snowfall was light in the morning, but picked up in the afternoon just as @rmui00 and I were finishing up our final run. It was another productive day with minimal lines. The snow was soft on the black diamonds including the Everglades which made it fun.
