Chasing Cobbles – Mads Pedersen

With pride, humility & relief, we can finally share Chasing Cobbles – Mads Pedersen! A four-part docu-series where my partner-in-crime, Johannes T. Hansen, and I (Anders Mielke) have been flies on the wall throughout Mads Pedersen’s 2024 season.

From sunny Mallorca to Flanders’ suffering, from Roubaix’s cobbles to Danish country roads, and finally, the Olympic chase in Paris - we’ve been there every pedal stroke.

Being a professional cyclist is no fairytale. Especially when you dream and work to be one of the very best in the world. I (Anders) have known Mads since I was nine years old. We grew up just 8 km apart, and I’ve followed his journey from his first wins in the Danish youth categories, where he crossed the finish line only to throw up his oatmeal exhaustion, to his rain-soaked rainbow dream in Harrogate 2019, where I stood in the pouring rain, watching him become Denmark’s first-ever elite men’s world champion.

Witnessing Mads’ dedication, discipline, and unbreakable mindset up close has been nothing short of inspiring. Success does not come easy. His work ethic and confidence are one thing - but his leadership, character, and ability to inspire others are what truly set him apart. He was born to lead, set an example, and push everyone around him to be better.

Thank you, Tak @pedersen__mads ❤️‍🔥

We cannot thank enough the incredible personalities featured in the series - each of them playing a role in Mads’ road to success.

$“Nothing in life is easy.” Reaching the top demands sacrifice. And sometimes, everything you’ve worked for can vanish in a split second. This footage is from the Paris 2024 Olympics, where Mads Pedersen returned to the peloton and fought for gold - just three weeks after crashing out of the Tour de France with a fractured shoulder blade. Wishing @pedersen__mads a speedy recovery after his crash in yesterday’s season opener, which left him with a fractured collarbone and wrist❤️‍🩹 Hope to see you back chasing cobbles soon🪨 Get to know the former World Champion in the four-part docuseries now streaming on HBO Max & Discovery+. by @velodoc.cc$
