This is how we helped Antoine jump from 70-74 to 80 to 82 in just 6 months.

Stepping away from fall competition let us lock in on development.

Strength output ↑ 26.6% (100th percentile for his age)

Bodyweight ↑ 18 lbs (148 ➔ 166)

Arm strength ↑ from 128 ➔ 183

We focused on building strength, athleticism, and real movement control — not just chasing numbers.

If you could buy stock in players, Antoine would be a top pick. taken in Velo University by @velouniversity

Fall ball won’t separate you. Training will. ⬇️

While you’re just logging games, your peers are:
✅ Gaining velocity & confidence
✅ Building arm strength that prevents injuries
✅ Producing more force = more velo

If playing games is your only plan this fall, you’re falling behind.

73 to 80 in ONE MONTH!

Most catchers think throwing harder starts with the arm. AJ's biggest gains came from improving what happened before the ball ever left his hand.

After establishing a baseline in his evaluation, the focus wasn't on chasing velocity overnight. It was on building a stronger, more stable lower half so he could create more force from the ground and transfer that energy through the throw more efficiently.

Every step of the process was measured. Kneeling throws improved from 60 to 69 MPH. Split stance throws went from 67 to 73 MPH. And his throwdown velocity jumped from 73 to 80.1 MPH in just one month.

The biggest takeaway wasn't one number. Every throwing metric improved together, showing a more powerful, efficient athlete. Now the focus shifts to continuing that progress while closely monitoring recovery and arm health so those gains hold up over time. by @velouniversity

Union College ‘31

First, I would like to thank my family for being my biggest supporters throughout my whole life. I would not be where I am today without the sacrifices that they have made.

Next, I want to thank my friends and teammates for supporting me on and off the field.

I also want to thank my coaches who have been there for me every step of the way. A special thanks goes out to Tom Rispoli, Coach Phelan, Coach Sully, and the Titans Organization for putting me in situations to succeed.

Thank you to Matt Perper for helping me develop as a hitter, BackstopU for developing me as a catcher, and all doctors who helped me come back from injuries.

Thank you to coaches Stampfl, Cunningham, and Cecere at Hastings for their support and dedication throughout the high school years.

Lastly, I would like to thank Coach Muller, Coach Beck, and the whole Union coaching staff for this incredible opportunity. Let’s work!

Colin originally came to us for live at-bats over winter break. But once we evaluated his throwing mechanics, it was clear there was a bigger opportunity.

Instead of trying to throw harder with his arm, we focused on helping him move more efficiently. By cleaning up his arm path, improving how he rotated through his torso, and creating a more athletic, repeatable throw, he was able to generate velocity with his entire body instead of relying on his elbow.

After one week on site, the rest of the process happened remotely. Daily video submissions, consistent coach feedback, and small adjustments over time allowed those changes to stick.

A few months later, Colin went from sitting in the upper 70s to consistently throwing in the low 80s, with better accuracy and a delivery he can repeat under pressure. It's another reminder that meaningful development doesn't stop when an athlete leaves the facility. It comes from making the right adjustments and staying consistent with the process. by @velouniversity
