JIJI’s Jazz Club is much more than a place to hear live music; it is a space built around community, creative freedom and a genuine sense of belonging. Through monthly live jazz performances, open jams and artist markets, JIJI’s has created an electric environment where musicians, artists and appreciators alike can congregate to completely express themselves. The origin of JIJI’s stems from multidisciplinary artist Tída Norasingh’s yearning to recreate a community rooted in the traditional jazz culture through the open jam. After struggling to find the exact energy she was going for, Tída decided to create it herself. What began as a small gathering to play music with friends has quickly grown from a studio, to a patio, to the main stage of established venues throughout the city - all while maintaining Tída’s vision of putting collaboration over competition and people over numbers. Monday Motivation LA native Ben Chi has unlocked the code to what many are in pursuit of: living in their passion. Ben has always had a keen love for soccer, pop culture, and fashion, and through much trial and error, has carved out a path to intersect all three with his creative soccer agency. Most recently, Ben’s agency strung together a series of over 20 events and activations with Niky’s Sports @nikys_sports during this year’s World Cup, including collabs with Nike Football, and appearances from Mexican soccer legend Marco Fabián and renowned hip-hop vocalist Ty Dolla $ign. Despite the world’s deeply revered history of lowrider culture, the Lady Lowriders @ladylowridercc are filling a void through inspiration from the women before them. Founded by Sandy Avila in 2021, the Lady Lowriders scaled from a brand to represent women in lowriding, to a full-scale car club connecting women across multiple chapters around the world, including Canada, Mexico, and Japan. With a far reach across multiple countries and an even further reach in generations (the youngest club member being 15), it is safe to say that Sandy and the Lady Lowrider Club will cement their legacy on the lowrider scene for years to come.
