Our house - built in 1906, we’ve lived here for almost 21 years. It’s been a constant job to ‘do it up’ some stuff you can see and the painful jobs that cost a lot that you can’t see. I absolutely love it and still have so many ideas. As you can see I adore colour, pattern and texture. But the things that make a house a home are the memories we’ve made here ❤️

The garden, my garden, our garden, I had a vision 3 years ago and it’s starting to come together. The addition of a green house has brought me such joy - who even am I? 😂

I haven’t posted any house pics in a long time. We painted our kitchen in January mostly because it was January and because I hated the colour I chose last time. However I love this! Its Preference Red by @farrowandball and now I’m tempted to paint everything this colour ❤️
Are hashtags still a thing????
Does anyone even see posts any more?

Just reminding myself on this wet, cold January day that the best is yet to come 🌱🌷🌻🌞 I’ve just ordered a green house and am planning what to plant and grow in 2026 💐

Master bedroom make over - we did this back in March this year. It’s the 3rd time we’ve decorated this room in 20 years. Is that a lot? I have no idea but don’t really care either way 😂 I was fed up of the dark blue and the blinds had seen better days. I looked at so at many wallpapers but then this beautiful geranium print by @sophieharpley caught my eye it’s so beautiful. I used up all my wallpaper samples and some wrapping paper to decorate the inside of the laundry cupboard. The red paint is Baked Cherry by @littlegreenepaintcompany I love their paint such good quality

We built our deck in 2016 almost 10 years ago! Over the years it has weathered and evolved but has always been the best decision we ever made for this house. In 2018 we added bamboo screening under the Perspex roof to add much needed shade. We added an outdoor sofa and more seating and in 2020 we screened off the covered area to add shelter so that we could socialise outdoors and even have our Christmas meal out here 🎄 We use this area mostly between April to November. Over winter it provides useful shelter for more delicate plants

The most hard working room in our house. I spend so much time in our utility room, feeding pets, doing laundry, growing seeds, arranging flowers. Coming to the end of the growing season, so I’m starting to dry a few things for our Christmas wreath making workshops at The Design Chapel. I heard this Deacon Blue tune the other day and it really took me back

As the sun goes down our solar lights do their thing 💡 the garden is really blooming now, great to see some colour at last. I took this the other evening and desperately trying not to get the full washing line in view 😂

It’s taken more than a year to get to this point but we’ve finally finished all the structural work in the garden 🥳 we paid for one day of labour but have otherwise done all the work ourselves 🫠💪🏻🥵 We’ve used reclaimed/recycled materials where ever possible. The empty patio area at the bottom of the garden is my future green house - who even am I? 😂 Now for the planting, attempting to grow some veggies and trying to achieve interest and colour all year - so hard to achieve and hats off to the real gardeners out there

Master bedroom make over - this was our January project that rolled over into March 🫠 I used wallpaper samples to cover the inside of the cupboard and made it into a place to store bedding. The beautiful geraniums wallpaper is by @sophieharpleystudio and we used paints by @littlegreenepaintcompany the blinds are from @blinds2go #interiør

A year of DIY, updates and changes to our old Edwardian house. Lots of flowers grown, enough to enjoy in the garden, bring into the house and gift to friends and family 🌸🌻refurbished the family room including new window shutters, created a coffee nook (so we could make space for an air fryer in the kitchen) and finally tiled the utility. A new table cloth from Majorca in the dining room and a bargain gin tray from Sainsbury’s 😂 lots of plans for 2025 as always
