“Laughter is the shortest distance between two people.” — Victor BorgeWith Otakon and my next photoshoot with Lauren being only one week away, I couldn’t help but reflect on our very first shoot. I was so nervous and she could tell. I think she took maybe three pictures before she made some comment that made me immediately break character and aggressively laugh like problematic Jimmy Fallon, breaking the tension and starting a trend of capturing me breaking character and cry laughing at her. If I wait any longer, the universe might just implode…⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀I just finished 4.4 and was not prepared for it to be a full on ugly cry. (Though I guess Himeko mentioning Irontomb should’ve been a hint…). In honor of Miss Himeko’s new form, I’d share photos of the true/newer form of another OG character, The Herta. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀I decided to hold back on these photos initially because I didn’t want my grid to become a The Herta fanpage account but looking back that would’ve been the most in character move I could’ve done. “What better time to play a tune?” — Hysilens It’s hard to find words to write this caption because it’s really difficult to describe how I felt in this cosplay; both stunningly beautiful and grossly underprepared every single second. I don’t normally play characters I don’t know mainly because it makes it hard to interact in character with all their idiosyncrasies if you don’t know them. But as stated prior, MomoCon was Pollen’s birthday con so she got to choose the cosplays and she really wanted to be the Chrysos Heirs and that’s how I ended up playing Hysilens. I watched all the videos I could to get a feel for her vibe but I also didn’t want to spoil the game for myself as I haven’t started that story yet so I couldn’t really play her correctly! BUT her design is gorgeous and I felt gorgeous so I don’t know….now you know why my feelings are mixed. 😅 Regardless of how ill prepared I know I was, bringing the Daughter of the Sea to life was such an elegant experience for me; I’ll never forget it. Mad props (no pun intended and you’ll see why in a second) to Pollen for buying me a real electric violin not only because the Hoyoverse is her favorite and accuracy means everything to her but also because she knew I always wanted to learn the violin and now I can. 😍😍😍PS. I’ll show you photos with Pollen after she gets a chance to debut herself first. 🤭PPS.
