Fun day out with the team‼️
Lowered the car even more and put the suspension refresh to the test at @autofinesse Run For The Hills. I cannot believe how well this car did!! Scraped the whole way up the hill and ended up with a souvenir of my wheel, and took home biggest sender lmao.

I went to Vengaworld and all I got was this overwhelming joy and happiness from seeing everyone come together to celebrate London Car Culture.

I’ve always wanted a set of VIP style chasing tail lights, so I decided to make them myself.

However, I knew nothing about electronics two months ago.

I wanted the classic patterns from 2010s VIP style cars which I used to see online when I was in school, so I spent weeks searching for a period correct Decotora controller, which was extremely important for this build.

I had the idea of this light build for some time - keeping the original brake lamp assembly and using as much of the original space as possible to keep it OEM+. Unfortunately I ran into a few hurdles as I didn’t account for the amount of space I would be taking up with the new components. Better yet, when cutting these lights apart I realised they were the rare JDM 2009 blue-chrome indicator versions which added a bit of pressure.

Two months and several revisions later I’ve got the finished set of chasing LED VIP style lights that I’ve always wanted. Everything is wired up to work normally and with a demo mode. The harness has also been re-pinned so the red LEDs are now my rear fog.

I’m super proud of myself for building these. 6.5 years of 19GS ownership and I’m still finding ways this build can test my abilities.

I’ll take commissions one day when I have the space as it’s nice to have my kitchen back now.
