Drawing dinos for Excision and dark oddities and horrors for Myself. Cascadian in New England. No A I

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I have some new followers, so I thought I'd post a little about what I mean when I say I do "digital painting" or "digital art."

I mostly use Photoshop, and a little Blender and After Effects. I never use AI in my projects, and perhaps I'll go into more detail on that in a future post! But whether it's a piece of weird digital art I post here or a trippy jersey sold at Lost Lands, I think most people appreciate knowing what they're looking at or buying is human made!

Thanks for following and checking out the fun art stuff I get up to! If you want to see more in depth videos about digital painting in Photoshop or how I use Blender or After Effects in my process, let me know!

I hope everyone liked the merch this year. I had my grubby art fingers on many of the items, directed as always by evil mastermind @mrsabel_ Two of my favs on next slides, the first because I love drawing dinos, and the second because I love silly bullshit. #lostlands by @venlocklear

Glad to witness the bone stage in front of a crowd one more time! It was fun to help design, and they somehow managed to top last year's production. Thanks to @tenseverb for coming out with me and making the best of the weather, and shout out to the team for everything they do! I spent the last couple of hours on site working on next year's artwork, as is tradition. by @venlocklear

New art for Excision and Level Up, very fun to combine characters and visual styles. Background building interior modeled in Blender, everything else painted in Photoshop, and animated in After Effects! #excision #levelup #bassmusic by @venlocklear

Excision & Subtronics 💕 Collab artwork with @mrlmn2 , who worked on the background and environment while I took lead on drawing the creatures/characters and slapping it all together! Super fun, hope we get to do it again! I think my bones are still rattling from hearing its debut at Lost Lands. That's a fuckin big one!!!!!!!!! #excision #subtronics #dubstep #bassmusic by @venlocklear

To celebrate another #couchlands and Lost Lands on sale, here's a little teaser of the different digital techniques I used for the artwork. It's not a true making of vid as I didn't record my process, just a quick thingy for those curious! If you have questions ask away!!! And thanks for the kind words on my last post! Is it September yet? 🦖 by @venlocklear

Sneak peak at Lost Lands art for 2026! What's that dino you say?? It's Camarasaurus, although I don't promise that anatomy and scale are exactly right. What's important is that they're having a nice time dancing around a big prehistoric bonfire. Tickets on sale on the 16th! #lostlands #excision by @venlocklear

#artvsartist2025 This was the year of the album/single art, with several new fav designs for me. Still, the coolest achievement for me was helping design the Lost Lands mainstage. What I didn't do this year was finish any personal artwork, but I have a lot of WIPs, so stay tuned for some extra weird stuff coming in 2026... by @venlocklear

Since my first year working with Excision (2017) I've had the opportunity to work on many singles and collabs from other artists...none more than Sullivan King! Here they all are!!! In order I think. WHICH IS YOUR FAV??
.
And yes, I did climb into a black trash bag to get reference photos for Body Bag...
