It was great being around amazing personalities and fellow builders in different sectors, all seeing how we can integrate NFTs and AI to solve the bottleneck issues.

I was also happy to see that even within a bear market there’s still a lot of innovation going around and I simply continue to urge us to keep building products that will simplify ownership and Authenticity within the block chain space by @vennoputa

I’ve been big on documenting my experiences lately and I’d look to aggressively document more this year. I believe it’s important to share with the world your story, be it through visuals, letters, articles etc. because the little you do may just be the inspiration needed for someone out there.

The world is a tough tough place and from my experience it doesn’t necessarily get easier you literally just level up:(think about every adventure game you’ve ever played) and leveling up sometimes is just showing up. Is just taking that 1 action even when you don’t feel like it, doing that one thing that’s frustrating you but failing at it until it gets better.

I wish each and everyone an amazing 2023 but more importantly I hope you do more, tell your stories and amplify your wins regardless of how small or big.

And with that I end with my personal philosophy which is: “Everything is possible wrt TIME (understand the possibilities within your time)” & “You’re the Genius you’ve been expecting”

What happens when your customers are no longer human?

You write the copy. You send the email. And the thing that opens it, reads it and decides is an AI agent — while the person it works for is lying in bed.

That’s the move from human consumerism to intelligent consumerism, and I don’t think most businesses have started preparing for it.

I don’t know yet what that marketplace looks like. Nobody does. But the other day Mark released Muse, and it made the question real for me: will my product be the one it picks?

The game of life is rigged. And more often than not, you’re not in the WhatsApp group where the criteria for winning is being discussed.

So you move through it blind, hoping, depending on luck — and luck just puts you in a rat race that isn’t nice.

There’s a way into that room, and it’s not complicated. It’s just two things, and you have to pick one.

I say this as somebody who trades crypto: if you’re not in the Telegram group where that 100x coin is, my guy, you’re holding the bag.

Play the game with everything you’ve got. There’s no value in playing humble.

Everybody is selling you prompts. That is not the job.

If you want AI to work like a world-class employee at your firm, you have to
give it three things — and almost nobody gets past the first one.

1. Context: Who are you, who do you sell to, why do you do business this
   way. Without it AI just assumes, or goes and pulls data from outside your
   environment. I keep mine in a single .md file.

2. Skills: Standard operating procedures. Not “write me a caption” — “this
   is how WE write captions here. This is how memos get passed around.” Once it
   understands the process, that becomes a skill document, and now you have
   replicability.

3. MCPs: Model Context Protocol — the tools you actually hand it. Your
   calendar, your database. Give it access and get out of the way.

Context, skills, tools. That is the whole thing.

One year of learning to build with AI. Here’s everything I shipped.

SusCheck — a Chrome extension that reads the terms and conditions nobody reads, and tells you what you just agreed to. In Gen Z lingo.

A virtual try-on for hair vendors, so customers see it on themselves before they order. It moved conversion over 30%.

Japapath — digital products for everyone trying to leave. It did real sales before my pixel broke and I couldn’t see what was working, so I cut it. It works. You just have to find the right product.

And Edytora, the one you know me for. A studio in your pocket for fashion designers and boutique owners — content at scale, at full garment fidelity.

None of these needed a team. They needed a year of actually building instead of watching.

In a gold rush, sell shovels.

That’s the oldest play there is, and right now AI is the gold rush.

So look closely at what’s actually being sold to you. Not the business. Not the
outcome. The tools, and the process for using the tools.

Here’s the part that should stop you:

Somebody will charge you ₦5,000 to teach you how to make videos with AI.
Getting Claude alone costs about ₦28,500 a month.

Do that maths again.

They’re handing you a shovel. They are not teaching you how hard the mining is —
the digging, the purification, getting it to market, pricing it properly. That
part is the actual work, and nobody sells a course on it because it doesn’t fit
in a reel.

So next time you see someone explaining YouTube automation, or how to find
winning ideas — check the bio. There’s usually a tool in there making them a
hundred dollars a year. That’s what’s being sold.

I’m not saying they’re doing anything wrong. I’m saying you should know which
side of the transaction you’re on.

Building the business is hard. It’s not as quick or as easy as you’re being
promised.
