Talent deserves an opportunity, and financial barriers shouldn’t keep committed young athletes from growing.

We’re looking for a founding cohort of youth athletes who:

✅ Face financial or other barriers to consistent training
✅ Are eager to learn and willing to be coached
✅ Commit to attendance, effort, and accountability
✅ Are willing to grow on the court and in the classroom
✅ Have a parent or guardian willing to participate in the process

Selection goes beyond basketball ability. We’re looking for commitment, coachability, and potential for growth.

Through the GBOD Foundation, selected athletes will receive support for basketball development, mentorship, and accountability.

Today, October 1, the Get Buckets or Die Foundation opens applications for our Youth Access Initiative.

We are building a pathway for committed young people facing financial or other barriers to access basketball development, mentorship, and consistent accountability.

Our founding cohort will focus on helping athletes build skills, strengthen positive habits, and demonstrate measurable growth on and off the court.

Selection will consider financial need, commitment, coachability, academics, attendance, family participation, and potential for growth—not basketball ability alone.

Applications are open October 1–30, 2026.

Selection process:
Application → Evaluation → Parent/Athlete Interview → Acceptance

We welcome connections with families, educators, coaches, community organizations, and potential supporters who share our commitment to youth development.

THE GBOD YOUTH ACCESS INITIATIVE 🏴‍☠️

Talent is everywhere. Access isn’t.

The Get Buckets or Die Foundation is proud to launch the GBOD Youth Access Initiative — created to identify promising youth athletes who have the potential, commitment, and desire to improve, but may not have access to all the resources needed to reach their full potential.

Our goal is bigger than basketball. We want to help remove financial and access barriers and give deserving athletes an opportunity to grow on and off the court.

Through this initiative, selected athletes will receive support through our four pillars:

🏀 TRAINING — Year-round basketball development, strength, speed & agility, camps, clinics and competitive opportunities
📚 ACADEMICS — Accountability, tutoring support and educational resources
📈 EXPOSURE — Camps, showcases, events and opportunities to be seen
🤝 MENTORSHIP — Positive role models, leadership development and a community invested in their future

We serve youth athletes 2nd–12th grade in Omaha, Nebraska.

This initiative will also create opportunities for businesses, foundations, organizations and individual donors to directly invest in youth athletes by helping fund training, programming, academic resources, exposure opportunities and mentorship.

We aren’t just trying to develop better basketball players. We’re working to create better opportunities and brighter futures.

Momma Bear spent her 68th birthday with me! ❤️🎂
