Sourdough bread intimidated me for a long time! Then I found a no stretch and fold recipe that I have modified and changed as time has gone on. I have yet to have a loaf fail me with this recipe even when my starter may not be at its “ideal” strength. This recipe is also for an open bake so you do not need a Dutch oven or anything fancy or special to make the bread!

Salsa cooking in the kitchen is one of my favorite smells. I like mine spicy and my mom thought I was crazy but it is delicious

The overstimulation of a jealous dog when you have little people is unreal! My son took this video of me freaking out in the dog because she wouldn’t leave me alone.

Meal preparation doesn’t have to be the only plan. Make extra of what you want for dinner and freeze the leftovers for your future self.

I love this dish at our local Vietnamese restaurant, but I often want it without the 6 hour wait time from making it. So decided to try canning it and I was not disappointed. So excited to have this on my canned shelf!

Brine recipe:
1 1/2 cups water
1cup vinegar
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 tbsp kosher salt

Water bath:
Place n a hot canner and turn heat to medium high. Set timer for 10 minutes and make sure it comes to a rolling boil during that time. Turn timer stove off and remove.

Cool and let seal to have shelf stable or cool and enjoy.
