I started this mini comic all the way back in March and back then I had so many different ideas of how doing my own seedlings would turn out. Though, nothing happened how I expected I'm glad I did them.

Gardening has felt a lot like when I started learning to draw...the only way to learn is to DO IT. There's no book, tutorial or youtube video that can beat trying something and finding out first hand how you did it wrong haha

Anyways as long as things are alive and growing perfection is pretty overrated 😝

The Fish Flower (for @estee.zales #imaginedflowerchallenge2026) 🐟🐠🐡 + dog + holy leggy tomatooooo

I imagine the fish flower moves a lot like fish when wind hits it, I also really like the idea of it coming back every year with more and more flowers. I been really wanting to get myself to finish all my sketches of vegetable art I have and this has been a really good jumping off point. No more unfinished ART!

still life from two months ago (I really wanna do more) + doodles from the past few days + dawg + an idea that didn't happen + drawings from an early spring walk ⭐️

💭

I took so many videos of me, Jess and Matthew building my farm beds and I was so sore the day after but I'm really pumped to show the process in the future. Last week was so busy and weirdly enough it also felt like nothing was happening. I'm glad I got some time to work on art and see friends. Lately it feels like all I can think about is how to get myself to draw more or hoping everything will be set up in time for the seedlings 😩

The seasonal changes between March and April have started to become a special interest for me. Specially here in Canada, going from blankets of snow to the sound of birds on a random morning can be a really sweet reminder that time passes and seasons welcome different types of changes.

These two months have been really special for me so far because of all the new things I've been starting and relearning (learning to grow my own seedlings, going back to animating and painting, etc). I hope the rest of the year stays feeling like this🙂‍↕️
