Every market people comment on the tiny details of my work, the uniqueness of hand embroidered jewelry, and, without fail, my eyesight. My response to the eyesight comments are always, “Well, I hold the hoop really close to my face.” 😂 by @verdant.threads

I have always loved nature and being out in nature but was kinda disappointed with how quickly flowers fade, especially after picking them. Well, I took that love of nature and turned it into a business. Now you can have tiny bits of nature to wear anytime you want that will never fade away ❤️ by @verdant.threads

Here are a few snapshots of my day as I was getting ready for the market tomorrow. First we had the all-school hiking field trip, which is always so fun. Then we rushed home to get the new pieces packaged and all the market things packed up. My kids were troopers helping me get all the things done ❤️ by @verdant.threads

Story time: A few months ago I was invited to submit an art piece for an auction for the WI Master Naturalist Nature’s Canvas Tiny Art Show. The invitation went out to all certified WI Master Naturalists and had “Canvas” in the name so I didn’t think my art counted toward what they were looking for. I waffled for a solid week about submitting this piece but in the end decided not to because I didn’t think it met the criteria. Y’all. As I scroll through the auction page I am kicking myself for not trying. My mom always says, “It doesn’t hurt to ask.” So let this be a lesson to you, don’t be me. Just try. Just ask. Yesterday I took my class to do a Pollinator count in a beautiful field of wild flowers. It was so peaceful in that field. We enjoyed slowing down and observing all of the tiny lives of the creatures. by @verdant.threads

Happy first day of Fall!

A couple weeks ago we’re talking about bio fluorescence in nature at my Master Naturalist class, which triggered a memory of a Magic School Bus episode, which lead to a rabbit hole on the internet, which lead to me inviting a friend to go on a bio fluorescence hike tonight after class. We didn’t find the plant we were specifically hunting for but we did find some other things that lit up under the UV light. by @verdant.threads
