Hello, my green tribe🌿💚

It’s been a while, so I thought I’d pop in and reintroduce myself! I’m Veronica — your local houseplant coach here in Charlotte, NC. I’m on a mission to help people feel confident and connected when it comes to caring for their plants.

Whether it’s through a Plant House Call, a repotting rescue, a virtual consultation, or a fun plant workshop (yep, we can even do paint + pot nights ✨), I’m here to make plant care simple and joyful.

But this year, I’m opening up a little more 🌱— not just about plants, but about how they help me stay grounded in life. I’ll be sharing more behind-the-scenes of my wellness journey… the little things I do to care for my mind, body, and soul — with the help of nature, community, and of course, my green crew.

Thanks so much for being here! 🌸

For the third fall in a row, I helped my client repot and bring in her big monsteras and wow, I’ve seen them thrive! 🌿💚

They are her babies (and I totally get it), and I’m so grateful to be part of their journey. She even took most of these photos so I could share them with you. How sweet is that?! 🥹

I feel so lucky to do what I love and meet such amazing plant parents. Can’t wait to see these beauties again in the spring! 🌞🪴

Pedrito is home! 🌵 This is my fifth move with this guy and he’s officially a veteran. He summers outside for all that bright light (still hoping for blooms), but Charlotte nights are getting too cold. Most houseplants come from the tropics or the desert, so under 55 at night, bring them in 🥶

Not sure where your plants should go, or want help getting them set up for the cold months? That’s what I do for my clients.

Comment HELP and I’ll send you the details. 🌿

Fall Move-In: Baby 1️⃣🍂

Third fall in a row helping my sweet client bring her babies inside, and it’s still my happy place. 🌿

So, that yellow leaf. I know, it looks scary! Yellow leaves can mean a lot of things, like overwatering, root rot, or a hungry plant. But this one just got a little too much bright light on the patio this summer. The rest of her? Thriving.

The real story was hiding in the pot. She was so root bound I had to call in backup just to get her out. 💪 And those roots… a whole bowl of noodles. 🍜 I shaved them down a bit so she could go right back in her same pot, gave her fresh soil, and now she’s ready to come inside for winter.

Oh, and that stem that was growing sideways? We cut it, and now there’s a new baby on the way. 🌱

Want to try repotting yourself? Comment REPOT and I’ll send you my free guide 📖

Green therapy is incorporating plants, flowers and nature for mental health wellness benefits.

Many studies have supported green therapy benefits. I benefited and didn’t even realize it until I look back on 2025 with a different lens.

Thank you to my dear friend Cynthia Wood @infantmassageclt Founder of @mindbodybabync who gifted me this plant a few years ago and made me a plant mom. Mind Body Baby NC has saved countless lives in Mecklenburg County with their perinatal support and community help. Please refer any families from pregnancy to 5-year-old children to learn about their resources and village.

Everyone has a role in Suicide Prevention. There are many free trainings anyone can take, including teens, to be more empowered and informed on how you can help someone.

Thank you to the QPR and MHFA Instructor Collaborative for inviting me to share my story this week at the first ever Staying Alive: Suicide Prevention Awareness Summit.

Consider buying yourself a plant, giving a friend a plant, giving a stranger a plant. These fantastic women-owned businesses I love and support can guide you on one that’s easy, pet safe, and ready to be nurtured with love

Welcome to today’s stop, a bird of paradise that got so top heavy it was leaning against the wall. 🌿

I gave her a good prune. ✂️ Pruning sends a signal to auxin, the hormone that drives growth, so the plant redirects energy into new growth instead. 🌱 I also found spider mites. 🐛 Removing the infested leaves helps a lot with treatment.

🔗Comment LINKS for the products I used to treat it.

Has this happened to your bird of paradise before?
