Getting Outside — Even When It’s Cold & Rainy 🌧️ I get it — when it’s dark, cold, and raining, getting outside feels like the last thing you want to do. But here’s the truth: fresh air and movement are game changers for your mood, energy, and overall health — especially in the colder months. Here’s how to make it easier 👇 Dress for success: Layer up, wear waterproof gear, and invest in a good jacket and shoes. Staying warm and dry changes everything. Keep it short: You don’t need a long hike — even 10–15 minutes outside can boost serotonin and reset your focus. Make it part of your routine: Morning walk with coffee, midday movement break, or evening stroll to wind down. Pick a time that fits you. Find accountability: Walk with a friend, a partner, or even a podcast. It helps keep you consistent. Focus on how it feels: The fresh air, the quiet, the clarity — not just the weather. Your body needs it. Your mind needs it. And those small steps? They add up all winter long. #macronutritioncoaching #getoutside # smallsteps by @verena.leigh
Why Lifting Matters 🏋️‍♀️ If there’s one thing I’ll always stand behind — it’s strength training. Not just for the aesthetics, but for what it does for your health, longevity, and confidence. Physically: Resistance training improves bone density, boosts metabolism, supports hormone health, builds lean muscle, and protects your joints. It makes everyday life easier — carrying groceries, climbing stairs, playing with your kids — all become effortless. Mentally: Lifting teaches discipline, patience, and resilience. You learn how capable you are, and that strength transfers into every other part of your life. It’s not about lifting heavy — it’s about lifting consistently. Your future self will thank you for every rep you put in today. 💪 If you’ve been waiting for a sign to pick up the weights… this is it. #macronutritioncoaching #weightlifting #resistancetrainingworks by @verena.leigh
Struggling with Workout Motivation?💭 Some days, you want to move—others, just getting started feels impossible. The motivation isn’t always there, the energy dips, and life gets in the way. Maybe you keep promising yourself you’ll start “tomorrow.” Maybe you’ve been consistent before but can’t seem to find that rhythm again. Or maybe you’re just tired—mentally and physically—and can’t seem to get back into that groove that once felt so natural. Here’s the truth: staying consistent isn’t about always feeling motivated. It’s about finding small ways to show up, even when it’s hard. Because every walk, every short session, every bit of movement—it all adds up. But right now? If you’re struggling, you’re not alone. We all go through these seasons. What matters most is not giving up on yourself in them. 🤍 #macronutritioncoaching #motivation #consistency #wellnessjourney by @verena.leigh
Staying Consistent in Fall & Winter 🍂❄️ As the weather cools and the days get shorter, it’s so easy to slip out of routine. The cozy meals, the darker mornings, the “I’ll start fresh Monday” mindset… it all creeps in fast. Suddenly, workouts feel harder to get to. Meals become less planned and more about comfort. Energy dips, motivation fades, and before you know it—you’re feeling sluggish, frustrated, and disconnected from your goals. You’re not alone in this. Fall and winter test consistency for everyone. But it’s also the perfect time to double down on your habits, simplify your approach, and focus on what keeps you feeling your best through the season—not just surviving it. 💭 What’s the hardest part for you right now—movement, food, or motivation? #macronutritioncoaching #fallwellness #nutritioncoach #healthyhabits by @verena.leigh
Overindulgence Happens — Here’s How to Get Back on Track (Without the Guilt) Let’s be real… the holidays are full of celebration, connection, and yes — a little extra food and drink. 🍗🍷 But here’s the truth: one weekend (or even a week) of indulgence doesn’t undo your progress. What matters most is how you respond after. ✨ Instead of “starting over,” try this: 1️⃣ Hydrate + Move. Water helps your digestion and energy, while a walk or light workout boosts your mood. 2️⃣ Don’t restrict. Skipping meals or “making up for it” backfires. Go back to balanced, nourishing meals. 3️⃣ Reflect, don’t regret. Notice what felt good, what didn’t, and use that awareness next time. 4️⃣ Reset your routine. Sleep, protein, and movement — these are your anchors. You don’t need to “earn” your food or “undo” your choices. You just need to come back to what helps you feel your best. 💪 💬 How do you reset after the holidays? Drop your go-to tip below ⬇️ #macronutritioncoaching #balancedliving #holidaymindset #healthyhabits by @verena.leigh
🦃 Feeling the post-Thanksgiving slump? It happens to so many of us — the food, the wine, the late nights, the extra desserts “because it’s the holidays”… and suddenly we’re feeling bloated, sluggish, and frustrated with ourselves. Maybe you promised you’d “get back on track Monday,” but that turns into next week. Or maybe you feel like all your progress disappeared in a few days — and now you’re battling guilt on top of it. Here’s the truth: 👉 One weekend of indulgence didn’t ruin your progress. 👉 But letting that guilt spiral can. This time of year isn’t about perfection — it’s about balance. Enjoy the moments, enjoy the food, but don’t forget how good it feels to move your body, hydrate, get back to your routine, and fuel yourself with intention again. If you’re feeling off after the holidays, you’re not alone. Take a deep breath and remind yourself — you’re one choice away from feeling better again. #macronutritioncoaching #choiceisyours #takeactiontoday by @verena.leigh
Let’s be honest… staying consistent is hard. You start strong — the workouts, the meal prep, the early mornings. And then life happens. Work piles up. You’re exhausted. The motivation fades. Suddenly you’re skipping workouts, grabbing what’s easy, and telling yourself you’ll “start fresh Monday.” But Monday turns into next week… and you’re stuck in the same cycle again. It’s not that you don’t want to feel better. You’re just tired of putting in effort and not seeing lasting results. You want energy, strength, and confidence — but you also need something that fits real life. Here’s the truth: Motivation comes and goes. It’s consistency — built through small daily actions — that actually changes everything. If you’ve been feeling stuck, unmotivated, or “off track,” you’re not alone. And you don’t need to be perfect — you just need a plan that supports you even when the motivation dips. 💪🏻 Tell me below — what’s harder for you right now: staying consistent or finding the motivation to start again? by @verena.leigh
Nutrition tips for the busy season ahead 🍂✨ I get it—life is full, schedules are packed, and food can feel like just another thing on the list. But here’s the truth: when you fuel well, everything else feels more doable. Here are 4 simple strategies to keep your nutrition consistent during the busy season: 1️⃣ Plan in 10 minutes. Take a few minutes at the start of the week to jot down 2–3 go-to meals and snacks. It doesn’t need to be fancy—just intentional. 2️⃣ Protein with every meal. This keeps energy stable, reduces cravings, and helps you feel fuller longer. Eggs, yogurt, chicken, beans—whatever works for you. 3️⃣ Prep once, eat twice. Cook extra at dinner and pack leftovers for the next day. Future you will thank present you. 4️⃣ Hydrate before you caffeinate. It’s tempting to reach straight for coffee, but water first will help your body function and reduce that afternoon crash. Remember: consistency doesn’t come from being perfect, it comes from having simple systems that work even when life is hectic. ✨ Your health doesn’t need to be on pause this season—it just needs a plan. #macronutritioncoaching #planahead #simplicity by @verena.leigh
The busy season is here… and let’s be honest, nutrition is usually the first thing to slide. Between work, family, sports, and never-ending to-do lists, it’s so easy to: ▪️Skip meals and end up starving (hello, late-night snacking). ◾️Grab whatever’s quick—even if it leaves you feeling sluggish. ◾️Rely on caffeine to push through the day instead of real fuel. The truth? When life gets busy, your body actually needs more support, not less. And yet, most of us end up running on empty. If you’ve ever thought: 👉 “I’ll get back on track when things slow down.” 👉 “I just don’t have the time to eat well right now.” 👉 “I’m too exhausted to even think about food prep.” …you’re not alone. I’ve been there too. This season doesn’t have to derail your health—it’s possible to nourish yourself even in the chaos. But the first step is recognizing that your energy, mood, and focus all start with what you put on your plate. 💬 Tell me in the comments—what’s the hardest part of staying consistent with nutrition when life gets hectic? #macronutritioncoaching #routine #consistencyiskey by @verena.leigh
Some days, I don’t have it all together. I get tired, I reach for the quick fix, I question if I’m even “doing enough” when it comes to my health. For a long time, I thought wellness had to look perfect—meal prep containers lined up, workouts checked off, energy through the roof. But the truth? My health journey has been messy. There have been setbacks, skipped workouts, nights of emotional eating, and mornings where I couldn’t find the motivation. What I’ve learned is this: health isn’t about perfection, it’s about consistency. It’s about choosing to care for myself, even when it feels hard. It’s the small, imperfect steps that move me forward—the nourishing meals, the walks outside, the moments I pause and listen to what my body truly needs. If you’re struggling right now, you’re not alone. Health and wellness aren’t about getting it “right.” They’re about learning to meet yourself with patience, grace, and love along the way. So I want to ask you— ✨ What’s the hardest part of health and wellness for you right now? ✨ And what’s one small win you’re proud of today? Let’s remind each other that we’re in this together. 💛 #macronutritioncoaching #consistencyiskey by @verena.leigh
