A little peek behind the scenes 🎨✨ by @verena_oswald
✨ Three years later — officially graduated as a Theatrical Makeup & Hair Artist ✨ Looking back, I never would have imagined I’d be here today. Applying for the apprenticeship at Graz Opera was a very spontaneous decision. I had just started my own beauty business and honestly never expected to get the position. But when I got the acceptance, I knew I wanted to keep building both paths side by side. As a result, the last three years were especially intense. Between client appointments at @beautyplatzerl, day and evening shifts at the opera house, and countless hours spent practicing at home, there usually wasn’t much time left for myself. To be honest, there were moments when I was close to giving up. That’s why I’m even prouder that I saw it through to the very end. Throughout this journey, I’ve learned so much and discovered how incredibly diverse this profession truly is. From my very first haircut, hair styling and wig work, plaster and sculpting techniques, creating masks and characters, working with performers, to the exciting (and sometimes chaotic) quick changes during live performances — no day was ever the same. And that’s exactly what makes this job so special. A huge thank you to everyone who supported, guided, and believed in me along the way. I wouldn’t have made it here without you. ❤️ The photos show a part of my final exam project based on the theme of a fantasy creature. My self-designed character is called “Back to the Roots” — a project that I poured countless hours, patience, creativity, and passion into. Now a new chapter begins, and I can’t wait to see what’s next. ✨🎭🎬🎨💄 by @verena_oswald

Schreibt’s uns in die Kommentare 🥰 📹 @luke.london by @verena_oswald
