xN4SZINEx is coming your way!

Here is a teaser from xVERITEx, VEGAN STRAIGHTEDGE HARDCORE from Finland.

xN4SZINEx -- When did each of you stop consuming meat and what motivated that decision? What does veganism mean to you today?

xVERITEx -- We chose veganism in our teen years as we found out the cruelty and immorality of the animal industry. Animal rights documents like Cowspiracy and Dominion and of course hardcore music played a huge role in our decision to go vegan. To us veganism means seeing animals as living and feeling beings who have a value as every human being has. Just because humans have been able to create weapons and violent systems to abuse and destroy animals doesn’t justify it or being part of it. Animals are not to be consumed, they are meant to be free and live their life just as we are.

xN4SZINEx -- Why did each of you choose straight edge and what keeps you committed to it today?

xVERITEx -- To us, straight edge means taking care of yourself, taking responsibility for yourself and your actions and liberating yourself from a culture of substance use that ultimately causes only harm to yourself and people around you. Straight edge is lifestyle and ideology that keeps us safe, healthy and free. We want to stay free and that's what keeps us straight edge.

xN4SZINEx -- Your band proudly identifies as vegan straight edge. Why is it important for xVERITEx to wear those values openly?

xVERITEx -- To us, vegan straight edge is a lifestyle that keeps following our values. Following your own moral values and standards embraces wellbeing and we want to celebrate it. We are proud to be vegan straight edge as everyone who is vegan straight edge should be.
