Come help keep shows running at Odd Fellows in Burlington Vermont!

The DIY venue is entirely volunteer run - from the members keeping the lodge open, to the booking @safetypinshows, to the sound people setting up / mixing / running house music / and tearing down every night. If you like the events - consider coming to learn how to run sound!

We need more people to help setup and run sound. Friday and Saturday are typically when shows are run, we get there at 5:30 to setup and we have a hard cutoff at 10pm for music.

Reach out to @burlingtonoddfellows or just drop a comment if you are interested on getting trained up.

Thanks to @fisherwagg efforts and generosity we've got a very fancy setup! PA system, amps, speakers, 2 on stage monitors, an X32 rack mixer run through a tablet, and microphones (SM58, Beta58A, XM8500, and Sennheiser e609.) We've got a snake all labeled to match the x32 so it's pretty standardized every night.

There's also a VERY nice light setup now thanks to the lodge members!

Honestly the venue sounds a lot better than many bars in the state!

Please come hang out with us - I can attest to this being a great group of people to hang out with and put on some good shows. taken in Burlington VT Odd Fellows by @vermont.talks

Interview 75 out now! I had a lovely chat a few weeks ago with author Mima Tipper about her new book, Channeling Marilyn. It's a fun story about a Greek American teenager who makes contact with the spirit of Marilyn Monroe to help guide her through playing a leading role in her school play. We met up at Uncommon Coffee in Essex and enjoyed some nice drinks. Check out her books and the show notes at VermontTalks.com/75 by @vermont.talks
