I never get tired of creating for Lexxi cause that woman has VISION
I love how she gravitates towards bright color contrast, it makes me experiment with color combinations I would have never thought to try

I wanted to create a glow effect with the design, as if bright golden light was radiating from her body and fading into the universe. All the lines in the headpiece and dress are reminiscent of sun rays, like energy bursting out. The deep blue shimmering fabric of the dress makes me think of a galaxy of stars, which fits so well with the theme
Something that blows my mind is that the design even shines in the dark

Lexxi said she wanted me to come up with a design that would level everything up, a real show stopper.
I think we did that 🙌

My first runway collection, that's a wrap 🙏

I wanted to represent Montreal talent- everything from the creation, music and video animation is MTL made
•
First of all I'd like to give thanks and praises to the artists who collaborated with me on this project, as well as my family, partner and friends who have supported me while I was taking on the greatest challenge of my career. This collection wouldn't have been possible without the help and expertise of incredible artists who I'm lucky to call my friends.
•
On top of that list is @genepi_dream who was my right hand seamstress this whole summer, and who worked hundreds of hours on Vivus. Thank you sincerely for your hard work and dedication, and for being such a positive presence in the studio 🫶
•
Thank you to @oliviakilljoy and @sarassophisticated for bringing in the big guns during the last 2 weeks of production, and sewing late into the night. You two are angels!
•
Thank you @dom_sidian for custom welding the metal backpiece for the design "I'm So Glad You're Still Here" . I gave you a challenge and your work exceeded my expectations, you're awesome!

Thank you @cyntault_creations for the silicone pour on the headpiece of "I'm So Glad You're Still Here" - it's such an honor to collaborate with you and have you over in my studio! ❤️

I'd like to give myself a pat on the back, at roughly 780 hours worked this summer, sacrificing every birthday, every family event, every night out, every morning sleeping in, every moment of self care, I can finally say I did it.
I learned a lot in this process, and the biggest lesson was that community changes everything. I've worked alone for so many years, but these kind of projects can't be done all by yourself. Thank you to all those who contributed, in any way, shape or form! This is our success 🙏

The story of this collection is incredibly close to my heart. It talks about trauma and healing, of experiences that break us and force us to rebuild, rethink, regrow. It brings us to change and leave old versions of ourselves behind. I've poured a lot of emotion from personnal experiences into these designs, as well as some from people very close to me. In your darkest hour, know that there is a future version of yourself rooting for you not to give up.
Flowers grow again after fire has scorched the earth, and so will you
'Vivus' is a celebration of life and healing

My Cupid's Arrow wig fit so well with the holographic set I made years ago - it was so fun to bring this design back out
Fun fact, the lingerie set I'm wearing here was inspired from and is made out of a holographic stars plastic shower curtain! A small reminder that inspiration is everywhere xx
