Recently, my son Alphonso learned that he has Kidney Disease. He will need a Kidney Transplant. So he can get off of dialysis. The best treatment is for him to find a living donor. Since he began dialysis his life has changed drastically! Before all of this he would take long walks and or runs at the forest preserve, going around 3-4 times to my 1 walk around. He was very much into clean eating and exercise. We both enjoy and miss the outdoor concerts, This has also limited his outdoor interactions with his son, they always loved tossing the ball and water balloon fights. His nieces and nephew miss that always has the answers and energy uncle. He was the person if needed he was there. He misses work in his Amazon, always very dependable and on-time. We all miss the person before the Kidney Disease. We all hope someday to be able to enjoy a life that allows him to enjoy time with family and friends, where he is not weak and off of dialysis!
