Yesterday at Masterclass Detroit, I had the chance to join the National Creative Panel on Creativity, Advertising & Storytelling.

One thing I’ll say every chance I get: Detroit is one of the best places in the world to build a creative business.

Not just because of the talent here, but because of the perspective.

Detroit sits at the intersection of so many cultures, industries and lived experiences. Black culture. Arab and Chaldean communities. Mexican and Polish communities. Automotive. Music. Design. Tech. We’re literally looking across the river at another country.

That proximity creates a point of view you can’t manufacture.

And when you pair that perspective with creatives who are hungry, talented and willing to do the work, Detroit doesn’t have to look elsewhere for permission to think globally.
We’re already here.

Appreciate @blackatglobal for creating the space and bringing so many heavy hitters together for the conversation.

Detroit has a LOT to say.

The work is making sure the rest of the world hears it.
