The @filipinup collab was a total vibe! It was mostly laughing, dancing, and feasting, the lumpia, pancit, and ube snacks were absolutely immaculate👌🏾. Def a collab for the books 📚!

We just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate FAHM 🇵🇭 with us and support our members co-hosting.

Also, a huge shoutout and thank you to our amazing raffle sponsors! @loversleapguides @norcalcrags @kayaclimbing @theboulderfield @thestackclimbing @rhinoskinsolutions 🎁✨

AND.. a special thank you to our DJ’s @djkfacil & @amareoyao, they had it lit the whole time 🔥

Vertical Roots Climbing Gear Library 📚 ⚙️

Climbing should feel more accessible and welcoming to everyone, but we know that the cost of gear can be a major barrier for many people.

Our Gear Library was created to help lower that barrier and support our community members by providing free community gear rentals and making it easier to both get outside or climb in the gym.

We’re psyched to keep growing this program and, with support from community donations we can continue expanding the gear available for everyone who needs it.

Right now, our library is small but we have all the major gear needed to access climbing - crashpad, chalk bags, ropes, harnesses, helmets & more!

Want to rent gear? Check out the Gear Library Rental Request form (link in bio)!

Have gear you’d like to donate or donate in general? Send us a DM, email us at verticalroots916@gmail.com by @vertical_roots_

What a legendary weekend spent climbing, connecting, and stewarding in a place we cherish deeply 🏔️✨ Although we didn’t get to do as much cleanup as we’d planned, the weekend was a massive win for networking and community building.

Our biggest takeaway? The Yosemite Facelift isn’t just about being a good steward for one weekend out of the year— it’s about “facelifting” every single crag, trail, and outdoor space every time you recreate! Let’s leave it better than we found it, always 😎🌲💚

A massive shout-out to @yosemiteclimbingassociation , @yageryca , the endless army of volunteers, and all the participants who worked together to make this incredible event possible. 👏🏽

Huge thank you to the V.R. supporters for volunteering their time to do trail work at Lover’s Leap! 🛠️🌲 And a MASSIVE thank you to @livinontheledge for guiding the way!

We learned so much about the immense effort that goes into trail maintenance, the severe impact on our local environment when people carelessly venture off-trail, and how we can all become better stewards of the land we love to recreate on.

Overall, it was a fun, eye-opening, and constructive experience for us. We look forward to doing more with @norcalcrags to continue making a positive impact on our local communities and environments ✌🏾

Our first outdoor boulder meetup was a success! The VR fam brought the early AM stoke, keeping the energy high and the vibes positive. ☀️

Seeing this community manifest from a simple idea of wanting to see more BIPOC outdoors grow into real, meaningful physical connections is truly amazing to see unfold in front of our eyes ✨

Thank you all for coming out and supporting one another. Stay tuned for the next meetup! ✌🏾⛰️ taken in Rainbow Boulders by @vertical_roots_

VR fam, allies & supporters, we just want to say THANK YOU for making our first outdoor event a huge success because w/ out your guys stoke & commitment to showing up it wouldn’t have happened! It was healing seeing everyone laugh, smile, complain about the hike 😂, cheer each other on & genuinely have a great time enjoying the outdoors.
